Would love to hear any opinions on how this compares to a Masterbuilt MES or Thermotemp propane smoker. Saw this at Walmart this weekend (full price). I've got a 30" Masterbuilt Thermotemp from Lowe's still in the box. Been researching smokers trying to decide if I should open it or bring it back for an electric or something like this. I know this is a lot larger - more interested in how well it smokes.

I love my Masterbuilt (I have the 230 from the Lowe's deals). Easy to set it and just reload chips. Temp is solid.

Just turned my on. Has anyone else had an issue with the front display fogging up to the point to where you cant read anything? Thanks

Good buy if you can find it at the sale price. FYI Pit Boss just introduced a 5 year warranty for products bought after 9/3/18, before that is was only 1 year. I'd say this is better than propane and electric smokers. Pellet smokers tend to do a great job at keeping temp, but get a smoke tube to get more smoke flavor.

Gotta hand it to pitboss. Emailed them about the front screen fogging up and got an email back within an hour stating they are sending a replacement control panel.
