Pre-order starts this Friday the 14th.
Can someone provide some cues for Apple? The biggest decline in the stock market is coming in as few as 6 months and the fallout will make 2009 looks like a Disney movie, yet AAPL is keeping the price the same as last year...

The iPhone X has been killed off by Apple. It won't be sold by them anymore, except maybe refurbished.
I think part of the problem was the price point. The standard Apple move is to drop the old model by $100 when the new phones are announced. That would put the X at $899. That's the same price as the Xs and no one would buy an X when you can get the new Xs for the same price. If they dropped the price $200 to $799 then the 5.8" X is more expensive than the new 6.1" Xr and again few people would buy it. Not to mention the lowered profit margin with a $200 drop. I think they decided it made more sense just to drop the X from the lineup and stop making it.
I assume they still have X units in stock, so it should be interesting to see what they do with them. My guess is they will eventually appear as refurbished, but who knows what the price will be.

I didn't buy an X. I actually switched to Android. But the X was very profitable for them. And it was a very good business move for them. They would be stoopid to price their new flagship device lower.

I really want to try out the cellular capability and see if it adds any value at all. Otherwise, I've no interest in the series 3.
