TV has a floating aesthetic due to a different stand. It's mounted on a glass plate, so the build quality is better.

It has a mini soundbar with higher sound output than C8 speakers. If you have your own speaker system, you may want the the stiffer TV. It's a bit easier to ship and move around without bending than the C8.

I heard that the E series is very similar to the C series. Has anyone compared the two side by side? I haven't been able to.

Gotcha. Also, would I be able to call BuyDig tomorrow and request the $1499 price for the OLED55C8PUA even though it wasn't posted on Slickdeals today?

You can normally buy any day of the week for $1499 at greentoe.com. It's usually BuyDig that is the dealer, but it can be another dealer also. Another poster had their Greentoe order for the 55" C8 canceled, as they were out of stock. Next restocking was 09/28 per their email communication with the dealer.

The E series has a class wedge sticking out of the bottom which fits into a stand, and has Dolby Atmos speakers built in I think. The actual screen itself is exactly the same, it's just what's behind and immediately below it that's different. I saw them side by side, knew I was going to have a surround sound, and went with the C series instead.
