2) I dont know where you're getting that 110v isn't capable of that but volt has nothing to do with torque ratings. How can a high torque battery powered tool do 1000 ft lbs but not corded? Makes no sense.
And mcchunk1 probably was referring to Bauer not earthquake. The new Bauer corded impact IS rated at 1050 lbs at 8.5 amps and was recently on sale for $99

Almost everything sold at Harbor Freight is a HF brand. The quality scales with prices.
Drill Master brand (red/black, really cheap HF tools) are the shittiest
Then Chicago Electric (maroon color)
Then they have their higher tier brands starting with Bauer
Earthquake is their highest line and it is on par with Dewalt in terms of power and design.
Hercules is also premium brand which is on par with Dewalt
Someone else had already mentioned this, but there's a guy on YouTube called AvE [youtube.com] that frequently takes apart various tools, analyzes their build quality then reassembles and tests them. If you haven't checked his channel out yet, you should. He lives in Canada, so there's no HF up there, but from what I can tell the PowerFist brand tools he gets from Princess Auto are identical to what you'd find in HF. He also has tested out Bauer, Hercules, Earthquake and others.
