Just a note, the 128gb model https://www.amazon.com/Samsung-Ba...a0INT&th=1 is $24.99 and is the lowest $/gb cost of all 4 options. It's almost 30% cheaper per GB than the 32gb model.

Same price exactly. And lowest ever per the Camel.

Dark grey and silver both avail.

Also write speeds are terrible, capping out at ~25mb/s

For the record you probably plugged the drive in to a USB 2.0 port. It could be that your system's antivirus or the source drive is making thugs slow too. Either way it's almost definitely your system and not the drive.
Or that's just typical of these kind of USB 3.0 or not flash drives. They get real hot so overall they have slow write speeds. I'd be amazed if it even could do 25MB/s consistently on a 1GB file. I've tried plenty from Sandisk to these Samsung ones (other variations too) and I've learned USB 3 flash drives seem to have this strange ceiling of doing 30MB/s max and that's me being generous. The reviews show plenty to back up typical, low write speeds. I doubt Samsung is hiring shills to point out those slow write speeds while giving the okay for being decent or else they need to do better.

That's why I just stick with the larger 3.0 portable drives if I want at least consistent 70MB/s write speeds and just might pick up those portable SSD at this point.

Edit: Do note I'm talking about these cheap USB 3.0 flash drives. Any benchmark of flash drives can easily point you would have to get the performance version of flash drives like the Extreme from Sandisk if you want better write speeds. Otherwise these crapper sub $15 flash drive won't be magic.

Newegg is headquartered in CA and definitely collects CA sales tax.

Hopefully not confusing megabit vs megabyte also. Generally mb or Mb=megabit and MB=megabyte.

But like the other guy said, cheap USB 3.0/3.1 drives like these are usually going to write at 20-30 megabytes per second. They will read much much faster (80-150 MB/s in my experience).

Drives with higher write speeds cost more.
