Not terribly hopeful that it will work, but figured it was worth a try, since I had some credit to use, and I didn't mind buying some of the eligible titles anyway.
Has anyone tried to do something similar in the past with M2D, and gotten this to work?

4) Ticket checker says you can't use "coupons or discounted tickets for opening/new releases". Tells you that you can pay the remaining difference at the ticket window.
5) Stand and watch other people go inside while you have to wait a week or so before they'll accept the discounted ticket (or you pay $3 more).

Never once heard of that happening. The ticket checkers just tell you what theater to go to.
