Frys has the Galaxy Tab S2 8" and 9.7" on sale with promo code for $199 and $229 respectively, I know it's not the latest but it's got a great screen, lots of space and you won't find much better at $200.

Great deal on S2. Still contemplating if I want to pull the trigger given this is 2 gens old. It'll be a gift for the lady which I'm sure will meet her requirements (webbrowsing, video streaming, some very lite games).

iPad 2018 screen is even worse than the 2014 iPad air screen since they skimped out on laminating and coating it for their profit margins. The screen here is much nicer.

Hate not having the latest and greatest.
Any thoughts?
honestly... tablets havn't been improving that much due to it not being a hot item... it was new and gained popularity but with phones constantly getting bigger I think most people have been just been getting larger/high end phones instead of looking at a tablet
i mean the newest samsung tablet that came out this year doesn't have the newest processor and it is supposed to be a flagship
the issue is why would a company go for a 30-50 percent profit margin on a larger device, instead of going for the 100-200 percent margin on a phone (and the phone will likely be replaced again)
honestly with how tablets have gone, I'm waiting on the new 7nm apu 2 in 1's that will probably be coming out late next year... nothing beats the power of a real pc

I own two of these, so off the top of my head, I think the resolution is around QHD. It will play them, but not in true 4K.
Are there any 4K tablets now?
