Stumbled upon these at my local Walmart (45385) for $13. Says normal price is $79.99. Got good reviews on their website.

I have a photo of the box & the price tag if there's a way to add that to the post.

UPC: 5235682040

This is my first post please be gentle 😅

In before the uneducated people scream about cooking in plastic bags. No, at the temp you cook at, it is perfectly safe. point [cnet.com] counterpoint [npr.org]

Hell even Robert Irvine's rib recipe has you cooking them in plastic wrap.

You ever hear the term low and slow? Like a roast, you cook it at a low temp for a long period. This breaks down all the muscle in the meat and you end up with soft meat even though its more often cheap tough meat. So you're getting filet softness for less money. FYI I've only done it with ziplocks and its worked great. Still takes a decent amount of time though, anywhere between 2-4 hrs then you brown it, grill or iron skillet. But restaurant style steaks for less that are very tender.

May be worth a look at the previous thread from August for additional comments. At that time, the $19 price was hard to find - it looks like it has now expanded and dropped even further. Thanks for the reminder OP, hopefully I can snag one.

It cooks food (that's been vsccim sealed) at a precise temp in a water bath very slowly. Results are great.

May I ask which isle I can find this? Seems my local store has 2pcs at $13 so I want to stop by during my lunch. I need to grab and go instead of roaming around to find it. Thanks!!
