You must have had a defective pair. Grado is fairly respectable in the personal audio world. My pair has plenty of bass, albeit not overblown at the Beats level, but decent and accurate bass.

I believe the SR60i was discontinued, thought it was the SR60e now. I doubt these will ever ship. Thanks though, I placed an order just for kicks...never owned Grados and I've always wanted some.

Don't see Grados on sale very often.
Edit: To add to b-randoms post... I don't think these will ship either being that Amazon doesn't currently have stock. Unless their distributor has some left, as I don't think they still make these either.

Whoa. I have a pair of these that I bought in the mid-90s for something like a 100 bucks. I had them cleaned and re-cabled at the factory a few years ago. Still love them!

what happened to them? mine broke a couple years back (I think no sound out of one side) and I've kept them just in case I can fix them. loved them.

SR60e vs SR60i - any real difference?

I've sort of wanted a pair of Grado's for 20 years but never pulled the trigger - everyone always loved them. I have a lot of headphones I don't use though, planar and otherwise.
I ordered and cancelled within 2 minutes realizing this is a completely frivolous purchase for me. decent price though.
