What a time to be alive. Didn't think I'd ever read complaints that a pressure cooker wasn't wifi compatible lol.

Amazon deal of the day. Price good for 24 hours. This is the Ultra model which has all the bells and whistles. Lowest price ever according to price trackers.

I've been looking at getting one for a while. At this price for the 8 quart model I jumped on it.

We've had the 6 quart for a few years now but mostly use it to make yogurt, which it does well. The eight quart's larger size and broader range of functions should lead to more varied use. By comparison, the 6 quart is presently at Costco for $115, so this is a much better deal. According to the reviews I read, the accessories from the 6 quart will work with this model, so no need to buy additional steamer baskets or seals.

Should we expect this to fall even lower for Black Friday?

I've been looking at this vs Mealthy 9-in-1 MultiPot Cooker, which is $100 on Amazon. The seem comparable in features and quality with the ultra for much much less. Anyone have any insight?

Right, the sizes are different. I should have not mentioned the price since they're not comparable sizes. My question was that of functionality.

That model will probably do most of the things the Instant Pot will do, but unless I am missing something you are comparing a 6qt model price with an 8 qt. If you need a larger pot the $20 is worth it alone. If not, you will almost assuredly be able to get a 6qt Ultra for $100 or less on BF.

As an Ultra owner, the main difference I see in mine versus that Mealthy is the automatic sealing it has. The first time you screw up $20 worth of food because you forgot to close the valve you might wish you went with the Ultra. Disregarding that advantage, most all recipes online are written assuming you are using an Instant Pot. That might not be a huge deal for you, but I know there always seems to be someone in the comments with another brand model that ends up asking questions due to the differences.

On the other side, I like the idea of the app on that model if it stores recipes. There is only one Instant Pot model that did that but apparently it did not sell all that well and they haven't bothered to do another one with the feature.

Thanks OP. I missed out on this deal on Prime Day back in July and was waiting for it to come back. There was a 20% off Amazon with AMEX Membership rewards at that time but unfortunately that expired. However, there is a new promo $30 off $60 with AMEX Membership rewards so I was able to use that promo after applying one point at checkout.

No Wi-FI is a deal breaker. I just bought a WiFI crock Pot and finally I don't have overcooked meats. I dont need a 'pressure' cooker and not entirely sure what the difference is. I also have a separate B&D small until to make Rice with,.
