This panel may be unsuitable for PC Monitor use
The panel does render 4:4:4, but applies a final output which is not 1:1 pixel mapping.
The bottom image supplied by Rting Confirms crosshatch dithering pattern
This can not be turned off.
The Crosshatch pattern also extends to the TCL P6 series and R6 series from both THIS year and LAST year's model

edit2: I WON THE PANEL Lottery!!! colors are vibrant, blacks are deep. best investment I've had. watching 4k Netflix and YouTube on this looks amazing especially when you connect it to a 5.1 audio system. I feel like I'm in a real theater.
note: screen is really bright. my eyes started to hurt watching doctor strange for 10 minutes. will take some time to get used to.
I did some research, and it seems like getting one from bestbuy vs getting one from amazon does matter. TCL gives better sets to bestbuy and other retailers I believe. You also have till first week of January to exchange it if you have any issue with your model, which I don't think 95% of people will have.

*Most TVs if they're going to break early, do so during the manufacturer's basic warranty.
Therefore, there's a debate whether an extended warranty should be purchased.
I personally believe that it makes more sense to purchase a TV from a place or through a credit card that offers the extended warranty for free.
It wasn't a total waste. Now you know not to leave a TV outside for several days before you've been notified of a scheduled pickup. Wait... who even does that? Ok, it was a total waste.
Which Youtube tests did you run on this TV? The 5% gray scale?
If you have Samsung EPP or unidays account, go with the 65NU8000 for the same price.

At least buying through best buy allows easy returns/exchanges.
