Greentoe counter offered LG OLED 65 C8 for 2099 including tax.. is it a good price or should wait for Black Friday ?? What is the expected price drop for this on black Friday

Looks like a great price to me from a reputable authorized seller (which you don't know the details of yet). If you can buy this on a Citi card and price protect down to $1899, that's going to be hard to beat.

I got this exact TV through Greentoe for $2,299 in August when Chase was still doing $500 price protection. Very happy with it at $1,799 all said and done.

How do you know it is from an authorized retailer? LG lists Green toe as unauthorized. When i spoke with an LG rep on the phone they made it seem like the warranty would not be honored unless it was bought from anauthorized online seller. [lg.com] I would hate to spend 2k and not get a warranty with it.

Supposedly Greentoe connects you with an authorized reseller. They just broker the deal. The receipt will show that seller, not Greentoe. Other posts that I have seen here about Greentoe confirm this and warranty is intact.

LG is correct in listing Greentoe as a dealer, period. That's because Greentoe is NOT a dealer, but instead the middleman and finds a retailer to accept your offer. Your TV doesn't come from Greentoe directly- Your payment goes to the retailer. Receipt is from the retailer. Warranty is from the retailer. Greentoe only works with authorized dealers for the product.

Anyhow, this is one of the best prices you'll see right now. I don't think it'll go much lower for BF.

Thinking about jumping on this. A little concerned about not knowing the return/replacment policies though. Talking with Chris from Geentoe to ease my mind on such a large purchase.

Who do you do the price protection against for $1899. I have a citi card and have been looking at this TV...
