Their weekly ad is a bit more descriptive of what it includes. I am assuming it is the same deal. I have attached a screenshot of it. The ad says Nov 9th-11th, but I purchased it online this morning (Nov 12th.)

Is Xbox 1 X a better purchase than 1 S for someone who is NOT a hardcore gamer and not too interested in playing exclusive titles like Halo Horizon 3/4, ???, ? (Same idea for PS4 Slim vs 4 Pro?)

If you are not a hardcore gamer, and even if you are, the S is still a very capable console. We have an original Xbox One that still keeps up with today's games. Sure, the graphics may not be as crisp, and load times are slower, but that is about it. (We have an X as well.)

I imagine it may be a different story in a year or two. A One X is going to be more "future proof" than a S.

I see. I have 55" HD 4K TV. I may want the gameplay to look stunning. Though my concern is that the next gen console will be out next year which doesn't make Xbox 1 x nor PS4 Pro future proof, no?

Sony has multiple major games coming to PS4 in 2019 so no time to release a console with launch exclusives.

There's been a lot of talk actually as the SoC for new consoles is at the late stage of development, if not in pre-production, with predictions of announcement in 19 and sales by the end of 19 or 20. Those major titles can be easily transferred to new gen as it's an evolutionary step in terms of hardware allowing smooth compatibility. Just face it, standard consoles are already too weak and pro/x will be 3 years old in 19 and not that much more powerful either. Jaguar cpu is ridiculously weak for anything meaningful to stretch for more than a year or two. Sub 30 fps is pathetic.

The $199 seems to pop up from time to time. What makes this a good deal for me is it includes a $60-80 game we were going to purchase, anyways.

Additionally, NEX is tax-free.

Just bought this bundle at Gamestop Friday night for 299$ with a 50$ gift card. Was able to get 150$ for my og Xbox one, so I guess it was an ok deal. But damn 100$ cheaper. I might have to return and get the Minecraft bundle for 199 on the 18th. Wish we could get the same prices across the board for these salesFrown
