Remember BH photo is tax free in many states, so you can add your local sales tax to competitor prices.

Anyone know if these prices will drop further during black friday? BH photo has not released an ad, and these prices are slightly over the level I would consider a great deal. Even without tax I can't justify getting one of these over a similarly priced Samsung Galaxy S9 or a Oneplus 6/6t.

that was the V30+, which has 2GB less RAM (4 vs 6GB) and black color. Paying $100 more for additional 2GB RAM and blue color isn't worth it, but no tax for most.

Wrong. The G6 had a few reported bootloop issues. Something abt the SOC overheating.

Not for the G6 (there were a few reported bootloop issues still). Not sure abt later models though.

Man, the LG G7 is tempting at $530, as it is a very close competitor to the Galaxy S9+. But looks like the GS9+ (Verizon) will be $440 [samsung.com] starting on 11/18, which is unbeatable, IMO.

I got the V30S several months back and have been pleased with it. For the price, the camera is average at best, but the battery life surpasses everything else I've owned, on top of sounding great w/ aux in my car, a very solid screen, and a lot of smoothness and futureproofing, both due to the 6gb of RAM. Still sitting on Android 8.0 - I like this version, but would still like to see some updates getting pushed. I have no doubt 9 will come, but LG is just typically a little behind on their phones that are >1yr old.

For $530 for the G7, probably better off getting a OnePlus 6 or 6t. Unless the wide angle camera means everything to you.

Better battery, better updates, cool beta program, no heavy OS skin, no questionable bootloader issues, flash the OS to your heart's desire on xda, good price. Really can't go wrong. The 6 is a great phone too and even a better value, now also.

My wife has a LG G6 and it's a excellent phone for $150-160 "good" used on swappa, but the OnePlus 6/6t is a no questions solid all round device for the price.
