Amazon has the Canon MF634Cdw [amazon.com] for $209.

Office Depot has it for $199, but now only in-store. (Thanks longaadoc for the lower price)

This one has single-pass ADF duplex scanning, which most models don't have (like the 731 and the 244 that popped up in deals this week). If you've ever scanned a large batch of documents you will come to appreciate how single-pass ADF duplex scanning expedites the process.

Alternatively, if you want the single-pass duplex scanning but with faster print speeds and expandable sheet capacity (up to 850 pages), Amazon has the MF733Cdw [amazon.com] for $279.
If you purchase something through a post on our site, Slickdeals may get a small share of the sale.

Keep in mind that both the MF634Cdw and MF733Cdw scan at native 300 dpi optical only via the ADF. Anything higher than 300 dpi has to be done through interpolation with the software. Canon uses the same scanning hardware as HP. Also, there is a defect on the scanning hardware, where the scanning element is slightly off the vertical axis that causes the scanned document to be crooked. You have to look hard and scan vertical parallel lines to notice this defect. The only fix is to use the software to correct it.

MF634Cdw has single-pass ADF duplex scanning, which most models don't have (like the 731). If you've ever scanned a large batch of documents you will come to appreciate how single-pass ADF duplex scanning expedites the process.

Alternatively, if you want the single-pass duplex scanning but with faster print speeds and expandable sheet capacity (up to 850 pages), Amazon has the MF733Cdw for $279 via: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06Y1MY..._lig_dp_it

NOTE: AMAZON has raised the price back to $209 (still $35 less than previous FP deal)

I bought this a couple of months ago and am very happy with it so far, but be aware it is really not at all good with any sort of stiff card - it has a folded-over paper path and no option for a straight-through path. Even relatively flexible backed papers such as laser waterslide decal paper fail to feed through this printer. If that is an issue for you then find a printer with a straight-through feed path. Otherwise if all you do is plain paper, then this is the printer for you. Beautifully crisp and clear prints, no banding.
It's a laser. This is exactly why people switch from inkjet to laser. There's no wet ink to dry out. Lasers use toner which is a dry powder. (Microscopic pieces of coloured plastic)
I second this. Inkjets are HORRIBLE for infrequent users. Inkjets guzzle ink for their cleaning cycles. These cheap laser printers have made my life so much easier.

If you can wait a little bit, go for the cheaper one. Say if it is ok to spend 2 minutes to print 30 pages

If you're doing all that printing in one day, I'd give serious consideration to the MF733Cdw. However, if your printing will be spread out over multiple days the MF634Cdw should be sufficient.

The toner cartridges for the MF733cdw have a higher capacity (2,200 vs 1,400) and it has the capability to expand the paper tray up to 850 sheets.

Quote :
"The Color imageCLASS MF733Cdw and MF634Cdw models are "all-in-one" devices with print, scan, copy and fax capabilities while the MF731Cdw and MF632Cdw models are "three-in-one" with their ability to print, scan and copy. The Color imageCLASS MF733Cdw and MF731Cdw printers are designed for a recommended monthly print volume of approximately 750 - 4,000 sheets and allow for an expandable paper capacity of up to 850 sheets. Alternatively, the MF634Cdw and MF632Cdw models are positioned for those printing at a recommended monthly print volume of approximately 200 - 2,500 sheets with a paper capacity of up to 151 sheets."

Go with the 733. For the money it's a much better option. Also the list price for this model is crazy no way it's 800 bucks. The 733 was only $10 cheaper back in August so although it's not it's lowest price right now it's certainly the better buy of the two.
