ViewSonic is a fairly reputable projector company. I suppose that they could be stacking the reviews, but it isn't one of the many cheap Chinese brands on Amazon. And fwiw, I love my cheap ass Chinese projector.

How does the PX706HD compare to the PX700HD? They both have 16 m/s input lag which is decent for gaming.

706HD is short-throw, while 700HD is normal. The 706HD also has more connection types, like USB-C. Otherwise, everything looks to be about the same, although 700HD is brighter, and also super on sale right now. If you have the space (mounting on ceiling or far away), the 700HD would be my suggestion.

Thanks, I had one of those cheap chinese projectors that has done fairly well at 720p but I'm looking to upgrade. Do you think this projector will go lower on BF?

I don't have additional insight on pricing, but looking at the trends, the prices you see this week are going to be BF/Cyber Monday pricing. You can always use price protection from your credit card if there's a drop, or buy twice and return the more expensive one.
