Decent prices, and not to thread jack, but you can get it for $85.40 through Technology Galaxy's urlhasbeenblocked shop with their 20% off coupon BF20. BUT you have to deal with urlhasbeenblocked, and it could be charge tax for different people.

If you've got a lot of 3x3 radio devices and aren't covering a huge area, the pro is "better", but the range difference between them is pretty big.

I run a single one of the AC-LRs in my attic and it pretty effectively covers my .3 acre lot with about twenty connected devices in the house.
It's almost that easy. There's a little configuration involved, but the user interface is pretty friendly, and there are a bunch of YouTube videos to help you. The fact that you know the terminology means you are probably more savvy than you think anyway, so I'm confident you'll find success.

Strange...I was looking at Ubiquiti stuff on urlhasbeenblocked but all their prices seemed lukewarm even after the coupon. Perhaps the prices have shifted down since a few hours ago.

Despite all of the recent negative issues with newegg, I still pulled the trigger on a second UAP-AC-Lite, and a US-8-60W.

Prices on Ubiquiti devices have gone up. Discounts are hard to come by. Gonna pull the trigger on a US-8-60W and a UAP-AC-LR from BH - no tax for Cali. Wish there were a deal on USG as well

I tried every high end Netgear and Belkin to cover 2 story 14,000 sq feet and nothing worked as well as the Unifi. I have 5 of the Pros and they cover every inch at over 100 mbps

Most people won't notice a difference.. also, your device (laptop) would have to have a 3x3 antenna to take advantage of the pro's full speed.

I love these things. Mesh smesh! All you need is a couple APs. I have two of these in a 3600 sqft 2 story and every inch is covered. Highly recommend!

Networking newbie here. Do I just connect this via ethernet to my existing wifi router to extend my wifi coverage with the same SSID?

I need to expand wifi coverage into my basement.
