$250 and lower would be nice. Just got an 1800x for $160 at microcenter. Need one more processor for another PC. 1700x prices are hard to pass on compared to $270 for a 10% gain for a 2700x.

I think he means that if you factor in tax, you're not going to save that much vs Newegg, plus there is the price of gas and how much your time is worth. It's like paying for shipping vs in-store pickup. Sometimes it's not worth your time just to save a few bucks.

Yea, that's true. I live 2 tanks of gas away from any microcenter, so I stick to shipped. Waiting to see what Fry's comes up with after the $65 2200g yesterday.

I get charged tax from Newegg and only live 15 min from Micro Center. If you need a cpu and motherboard and live near a Micro Center, it's the best deal with the $30 off for buying both. The only problem with them is they are out of stock on the Ryzen 2700x and a lot of the x470 motherboards.

Guess I'll be returning and buying from Newegg on Monday. Dumb because they are paying for my return and that will likely cost them more than the $20 difference.

I bought it from newegg - ebay on Wed for $271, Amazon/internet has basically killed all electronics retailers within 100miles of me, so aside from my purchase, this is the best price I've seen it available online this weekend. Glad I didn't get completely burned buying a few days early. Looking forward to putting my new system together next week.
