sorry I meant to emphasis that this is a great price and hard to beat not that it can be beat.

It's a great price but I'm not sure if it's made in Japan. Usually it's printed right on top. I tried to find the info on it but didn't see anything mentioned. I missed the Lord and Taylor deal too, not sure if anyone got it though.

Thanks Paw-Lee! The Zojirushi NP-HCC18 comes out to $190 w/o tax, which is similar to the out of stock clearance Lord and Taylor deal and much cheaper than what I bought it for on Black Friday ($235 w/o tax). This is very slick for the 10-cup induction one too!

Not trying to thread crap or be a dic, but what does this do to rice that merits the cost?
I can't say that I have ever had cooked rice at home, or at a restaurant where the taste differential between this and rice cooked on a stove top justified this price.... Confused
