hi all.
so I found out the other day that my Tmobile prepaid account had my $70 of credit scammed.
according to the customer services at Tmobile someone accessed my account impersonating me AND the knew my personal pin somehow.
they then transfered the balance of my account to another phone number...its a new York number....
3 4 7 3 0 2 6 9 5 9
the customer service agent told me to write a letter and mail it to a po box in new mexico and T-Mobile will then investigate.
I'm out the $70 until they get back to me...but has this happened to anyone? and so weird T-Mobile does not have an email account I can send my letter to...
I'm so annoyed....they have the phone number it was transferred to but won't shut the account down...
rant

Seriously though, I would call back to customer service and request a supervisor and keep requesting somebody higher up in the chain than the regular CSR's until you get one.
If all else fails, then your best bet is to do a chargeback (if you paid using a credit/debit card), which unfortunately will result in the loss of your account more than likely. But if they're unwilling to investigate WITHOUT you having to physically mail in an account of what happened, then maybe they aren't the right company to be dealing with.
The problem with doing a chargeback is that won't work if you bought a refill card from another vendor (like Target, CallingMart, etc.) -- that vendor will show that they did indeed deliver the item you bought, and the chargeback will be denied. Only if you bought the refill directly on T-mobile's site, and even then your credit card issuer might still deny.
