I can't be positive on this versions features, but the 55in had 4k @ 60hz on all four HDMI as well as 4:4:4 chroma when setting port to PC label.
The image quality leaves a lot to be desired out of the box, but with careful adjustments can look pretty decent.
If I needed a TV of this size I would not hesitate to try it.
EDIT: I did completely forget that yes you need to use the service menu to get the most out of the image quality! (Sorry, I havent touched it since I bought and set it all up)
Press the Menu button then press the remote buttons 1 > 1 > 4 > 7 with a full press. Do not press them fast. just make sure you press each number on the remote with conviction and move onto the next. Too slow and it won't work, too fast and it wont either.
I absolutely would not use it for production work involving color accuracy.
You want sharp text - this does it.
I'd add it is a very nice gaming monitor. Both PC and console looked great and game mode had no noticeable lag.

As stated, it does 4:4:4 chroma which is perfect for office computer work based off technical merit.

Meh, nowadays you can make any tv smart for $20. Roku 4k are all over facebook for cheap.
Yep...tell me about it..I wanna buy my lil sis a "dumb" tv & just give her one of my fire sticks or roku's,, but NOPE😑 she insists on a smart one. So I'm looking for a decent 40" or so for no more than like $200 now.
I personally have a smart tv but even still use my firestick with it for EVERYTHING lol

Honestly part of growing up (at any age) is figuring out that if you're going to ask for something as expensive as a tv, you either pay for exactly what you want yourself, or you be gracious about what you get that is at least roughly what you wanted and does everything you needed it to do, even if not "exactly" what you would have picked out for yourself. I've had things like fairly nice (i.e. retailing more than this tv) boots (just as an example) given to me that weren't exactly what I would have gotten myself, but so long as they're in the general style of things I wear I don't quibble, and worst case if I'm actually not happy (I can be fairly picky, whether it's tech or clothes) I graciously talk about how they look great, then quietly return them, and if whoever gave them asks about them I mention they just didn't quite fit right after trying them on a bit longer but that I put the money from the return to something else great and thanks so much.
Give her what *you're* comfortable giving her: a gift shouldn't turn into an imposition on the giver, and maybe there will be a life lesson wrapped up in there too for her.
Unless she has a specific concern (such as wanting a hardline ethernet connection, which can still be done with some of the fire tvs/rokus/etc), there really isn't a difference worth mentioning, and with HDMI CEC the tv's remote can work fine with controlling the fire tv/etc. Plus that way you can give her a voice remote and it will still be way cheaper than any of the integrated smart tvs that come with them.
Whether or not THIS tv is a good choice or not for that is maybe a question worth asking, but for $149 and a couple of decent mentions here about the 55" version (and no glaringly awful reviews, but only 4 so far and not a long time for failure rates to become evident: maybe grab a squaretrade/etc third party extra warranty if that's a concern, it shouldn't be much at this price), it seems worth a shot? It's not HDR, but pretty much none of the smart tvs in the segment just above this (~$250 on sale) are really *true* HDR either, if they even claim to *have* it. As one example, the Samsungs that sometimes dip to about $300 for ~40/43 inch do have HDR, but it's still only mediocre at best for HDR (I use one as a monitor at home). $149 seems like a solid deal if it works well, and things that have been mentioned so far (like 4:4:4 support and seemingly lowish latency) are very promising for a bargain basement 4k tv.
Sidenote: at this size, unless you're using it at a computer monitor distance, the 4k isn't going to be very noticeable compared to 1080p, and particularly since it's not HDR (one of the areas where content can really noticeably pop more if it has it, and to me makes more of a difference when watching things like movies than 4k vs 1080p), I'd personally consider just getting the larger 48" 1080p one that's running as a deal for the same price right now (assuming reviews for that one are any good too). That 8 extra diagonal inches is a big difference in surface area.

An easy way to check is if colored text on a white background looks a bit jagged/screen door effect when looking at the edges closely, despite being 4:4:4 chroma. Red text on blue will also tend to show it. Some of the 4k test patterns behave weirdly (this page [avsforum.com] gives an example). Taking pictures with a macro lens usually makes it clear quickly too.
It's not a big deal for most gaming/movie watching, it's not a big deal for black text on white, but it makes a difference for using it as a monitor for something like coding.
36.6 x 9 x 26 Inches
Just curious since I wanted to wall mount it.
