if you have a newer vehicle find a familymember or friend with older vehicle that has xm radio and use that radio id to turn that radio on, then a week later transfer it to other vehicle

Agree. I had a free trial when I purchased my car a year ago and they kept bugging me to continue the membership, eventually going as low as $5 a month.

Ya. I thought my new car had shit speakers. Turns out it was xm quality. It was never this bad. What happend?
I used to be a subscriber way back when they advertised it as 'CD-quality radio', but the sound quality is actually my biggest gripe now, followed very closely by some pretty mediocre programming and talent.
Seriously, I don't know how people tolerate the shite sound quality of the service.
All the "CD Quality" of a 96k mp3 file.
