Than a tablet? Yes. Than a book? No.
"Battery Life: A single charge lasts up to six (6) weeks, based on a half hour of reading per day with wireless off and the light setting at 13. Battery life will vary based on light settings, wireless usage. Audible audiobook streaming over Bluetooth will reduce battery life."
E-ink only uses power when you change the ink cell status , so it would depend on how much you make the screen change. If you're zooming in and out of PDFs and forcing the screen to refresh over and over, then probably not. If you're reading books, especially if you turn down/off the frontlight, 20-22 hours is within range.
No. The only thing you really need Wi-Fi for is to download ebooks and your email-converted files. Otherwise turn it off to save battery. Don't use the forever-experimental internet browser because, again, e-ink refresh rates.
Uncomfortably.

I'm on the original paperwhite, top review isn't glowing in comparison. Other opinions?

I have had the Paperwhite 2 and 3. I bought two of the new ones (these waterproof ones) and love them. I might even get a third one. Idk why so many negative reviews. Mine work great.
