Saw this deal from the company I use for my websites. Though I share just in case anyone still uses hosting in 2019.

1. Go to https://www.bihira.com/members/ca...EWYEAR2019
2. Select "I will use my existing domain and update my nameservers" and enter an existing domain.
3. Hit use and then continue on the next page.
4. The coupon "1DOLLARNEWYEAR2019" should already be applied. If not, add it.
5. The price should now be $1.

I just bought one. Looks promising so far, but for $1 for 1 year, you can't go wrong. The only issue I got so far is they don't have Let's Encrypt on their Cpanel. But at least they got a pretty good support. I asked about Let's Encrypt on their chat and they responded right away and gave me one of their SSL packages for free instead, so it's pretty nice, I got more out of my $1.

For a simple static website, can I go with the free tier of Microsoft Azure, instead of paying for a web hosting like this?

Assuming you don't care about having your own domain name, the free Azure hosting should be fine.

Yes, I have my own .com domain name, currently only used so my Gmail address looks professional, can I attach that domain name to Azure for free?

I do not believe you can use your own domain name with the free tier of Azure hosting.
