This is not the lowest price, the lowest was $37.50 in Aug 2018.

Hopefully this isn't against the rules or anything, but I bought a few new (at least thats what I remember) during a deal a year or two ago. I never got to setting it up the mesh and likely never will. I have two untouched that I would gladly part with for $80 (total) if you are willing to meet in central Maryland. DM if interested. I could potentially ship as well, but the cost to ship would be on the buyer.

Thanks,
Cody
Why would anyone want to buy yours when they can get them shipped for the same price?

same, been using it for over a year. it's fine. updates shmupdates. turn on security unless someone is wardriving and camped outside your house you're fine.
Wow... You probably don't update your antivirus or install OS security updates either, right?

If you've been using it for over a year without installing new "updates schmupdates" then you'll be happy to know this came out less than a year ago and took exactly zero seconds to come up on Google after searching "asus router security flaw" : https://threatpost.com/asus-patch...ls/129666/

Well, people said they are having a hard time checking out. Also, I believe mine are new, I am in the process of tracking to track the order. Just offering them in case anyone was having difficulty. Not meant to cause any issues

Will it help MetroPCS customers for wifi calling?

Edit: Can Anyone that's using this advise if this can support 31 wifi devices such as ring cameras, 3 streaming devices etc simultaneously?
Yeah it can support a buttload of WiFi devices. I have 4 Ring cameras and a bunch of other shit using it constantly. Works without issue, although I wish I had Google WiFi for better coverage.

No, this is special wireless router which has built in QOS setting for T-mobile wifi calling (VOIP packet priority set). One can flash regular router firmware as well if you don't need QOS setting. As routers go, it is older model, BUT is still supported (if you flash regular router firmware) and also supports Mesh network if one setup the router correctly.
It seem far better than my FIOS gateway router since my FIOS gateway router "loses" 5Ghz band frequently - devices think it is connected, but router won't route packets unless devices re-cycle the connection. 2.4Ghz works rock solid. Now, this router, both bands works well AND it has built in USB 3.0 NAS support which is handy as I just connect my external hard drive and it support DLNA and SMB.

EDIT: Ordered one, had to use Internet Explorer (Chrome did not work), got the "We will contact you if any issues" e-mail. We will see.
Wait wait wait. How to I set it up to work as a mesh network?

My point is technology should be price dropping by age, isn't it?

I have 3 of these that I bought in the August deal. Just a heads up that my only complaint is dropping video conferences if I'm switched between access points. I work from home so this is a big PITA for me, but might not matter to anyone else.

Other than that it was fun to hack the firmware to stock (and now MUCH more secure), use the ASUS App to monitor and tweak the network from my phone, and of course get AiMesh. Great deal at this price point also.

Has anyone who already owns this router flash it and upgrade the FW to the latest Version:3.0.0.4.384_32799 ?
I did and it shows my connected clients "0" and no longer shows me a list of all wired/wireless devices that are connected. All devices are working and have internet connection tho. Tried rebooting.
Thanks in advance.
