Mineral spirits eh? I'll have to give that a shot! I haven't been using my parts washer because of the high cost of solvent.
Whats wrong with Kerosene? I thought that, that is what most people use. Mineral spirits will evaporate too fast.

Is anyone on here an actual ITC member is it worth it so far lately I haven't seen any better coupons for members as just plain coupons maybe its just the stuff on ITC is not what I am looking for at the time.

Also anyone else notice that a lot of their coupons aren't even as good as just using the 20% coupon?

I am actually a mechanic and our parts washer at work uses mineral spirits with a few more additives. As long as you keep the lid closed when your not using it I would think it should last at least a year before having to top it off.

You've pretty much hit the nail on the head. Sale priced items with a 20% coupon tend to be better than the ITC. Also, many of the closeout items, just happen to be ITC offers and weeks later show up as regaular coupons.

Also, the dirty little secret is that you probably don't need an ITC membership to use the coupons anyways.

The one reason I renewed my ITC is because you can use 20% off on top of ITC coupons via the webpage.

But only on the website, correct? This doesn't work at the store?

Sometimes it does, just depends on your store. I was able to print product info page with ITC price displayed and the store price matched and let me use 20% off on top of it. If they give you hard time, you could argue that you are able to do that online.

Thanks. I guess I will make the trip Friday and pick one up as well as a jack, jack stands, blah blah blah... Stick Out Tongue

My buddy has a identical looking parts washer with a different pant job and brand. He uses mineral spirits in it and hasn't had any problems with the pump failing. You also don't have to worry about it freezing if you live where it gets cold unlike the recommended water based stuff.
How'd it go, Matt? Are you going to use minerasl spirits in it? What kind of cleaning are you going to do with it? Im mostly going to be using it on automotive parts, tools, etc. Let me know if youre using mineral spirits, and how it works. Thanks

I suspect a manager would consider it a jack, but worth a shot.

Of course, generally you work under the car with one of these,.. gulp.
