Does anyone have a good scan of the "free tarp" coupon?

I've got plenty of everything else and could use a couple of extra tarps. But Somehow I never seem to get the tarp ad in my Sunday paper or in the magazines I subscribe to.

There are actually some good deals there if you add in the extra 10% off.

And for those who were looking for the Parking Lot Sale flyer, the stuff in the Retail C link above is exactly what is in the sale. I have the flyer, but keep forgetting to scan it.

Anyone have any experience with any of HF's products that are gas powered. (ie: 4 stroke engines) They have a lot of stuff that's gas powered..... but I am fearful of their engines being super-low-quality. A year back I needed a generator and I couldn't buy the HF unit. I ended up buying one at Homedepot just because the HF one looks so cheaply made. I also figured the motor couldn't be too great..
the engines are actually great (well the blue greyhound line was anyway) all of the 4 strokes are honda clones. They just discontinued the greyhound line (made by lifan) and came out with a new line called "predator" within the last month. The predators are still honda clones however internally they are not exact copies like the greyhound was. Some of the distributors of honda clones have had legal issues with honda so this new line of engines is just different enough from the hondas that they are able to get away with it. Seems like the changes are just different bore and stroke along with different looking air cleaner and gas tanks. The jury is still out on the predators but they are expected to be good engines (like most honda clones are).

All the ethanol in gas is going to destroy all their small engines in short order anyway.

Wow, tell all of Minnesota that because we've had ethonol in all of our gas for 10+ years. All those 20 year old lawnmowers must be a figment of my imagination. Perhaps, those 1980's cars will be trouble too. And when they remove lead from the gas (j/k) those cars are going to litter the sides of the roads.

Let's stick to HF and keep the politics out of this thread.

Ethanol, don't get me started, the biggest lie ever. The touting people who say it burns cleaner, its renewable, blah blah.

The fact is we couldn't grow enough corn to produce even 20% of what we consume EVEN if every singe free acre of land in the lower 48 was growing corn its mathmatically impossible.

We burn fuel to plant GMO seeds, divert water to feed it, herbicides and pesticides to grow it and again fuel to harvest and turn it into ethanol and in the end every gallon produced takes .8 gallons of gasoline.

But it BURNS CLEAN they say, NO it burns cleaner, but thats the biggest flippin lie ever told about ethanol

With ethanol you have to burn more to produce the same power as gasoline, and if you've got half a free thinking brain left you'll see that the extra you have to burn to produce that same power produces more gas. Now it may in fact have less chemicals in the exhuast, and when I say less we're talking PPM parts per million a very minute amount BUT it produces the SAME amount of CO2. It could be argued that since its not as efficient as gas it actually produces MORE CO2

Ethanol from begining to end is NOT earth friendly, ethanol is about money (subsidies to oil companies) politics and greed

NO, ethanol proponents say, to produce a gallon it takes ONLY about 1.3 gallons of diesel fuel!

But ethanol does produce more water, because about 30% of it IS water! (by weight, of course).

There is hope, there are at least two of us in the HF thread that get it!

It still flippin amazes me that the IGNORANCE of some people who just eat up what they're told without question and go forward blindly touting a complete and utter fallacy as fact.

Its almost unimaginable that people in the world are starving while we grow corn and waste fuel to make fuel out of it and in the process leave our environment worse off than when we found it.

DOOMED I tell you, we're DOOMED!

Do you have any links or references to support your claims? What you posted conflicts with the research we have done and appears to be inaccurate misinformation.

Uhh, yeah, like believing the myth that ethanol is not "green" without researching the facts.

If you would like to discuss this, let's start another thread in an appropriate forum or take it to PM.

I'm with letterk, this thread is for HF cheap tool talk. I don't want to debate ethanol, or the chinese, or any of the other political stuff that slips in. Nothing wrong with that sort of thing, but that's not what this thread is for.
