Wow, tell all of Minnesota that because we've had ethonol in all of our gas for 10+ years. All those 20 year old lawnmowers must be a figment of my imagination. Perhaps, those 1980's cars will be trouble too. And when they remove lead from the gas (j/k) those cars are going to litter the sides of the roads.

Let's stick to HF and keep the politics out of this thread.
So long as the materials in these HF motors are made as well as name brands I do not forsee ethanol issues. The ethanol is not the problem after all. Yes, it is corrosive to metals, especially aluminum, but aluminum carburetors for examples are coated so that do not simply oxidize instantly. The issue is that when gas with ethanol sits more than 3-4 weeks it will attract water and create acids that WILL eat the coating off the carb and then the ethanol will destroy the carb.

BUT, so long as these engines are made to normal standards, AND proper maintenance is performed, ethanol is a non-issue. I use the ethanol-ready STABIL and everything seems fine. I also run all my small engines every few months just to clear them out.

There is nothing wrong with ethanol, it does not directly destroy anything - so long as the product was designed to deal with it. Most products since the 80's ARE. (Up to 10%, which is probably why we use 10%)

The idea of ethanol itself burning cleaner is not a lie. It's just like anything though where it will take many years to improve the "manufacturing" process. Sure, it may never be perfect - but it is a potentially "good" idea.

Man I wish HF had a tool bag with outside pouches..

I wanted something a tad bigger then my UPS carry bag but for now I have to stick with it.
I'm pretty sure that I saw some deals on toolbags at Home Depot as part of their Memorial Day sale. And their "sale" stuff stuff just sits around at sale prices until it sells out typically.

But my memory is crappy. So who knows if I'm making it up or not.

Do you have any links or references to support your claims? What you posted conflicts with the research we have done and appears to be inaccurate misinformation.

Uhh, yeah, like believing the myth that ethanol is not "green" without researching the facts.

If you would like to discuss this, let's start another thread in an appropriate forum or take it to PM.
Love to, glad you asked for supporting links without offering any of your own.

Anyhow from here it is http://www.news.cornell.edu/stori...y.ssl.html

Now back to HF, the 230V spot welder is KICKA$$! They wouldn't let the 20 off float and it had to be bought in another county because the local government here prohibits the sale of them, don't ask me why as I haven't had time to look up the reason.

I use one of those bucket totes, it basically adds pockets to the outside of a 5gal bucket and a few on the inside. Works pretty well and is sturdy enough to lug 50lbs of tools in.

To be honest, that's what I use as well. Works great and I think it was $10 and one of the BORGs.

+1 I had one of those and loved it, been waiting for it to go on sale again to grab a new one.

I also have the bucketbag large mouth bag and its pretty good if you're not taking the whole top chest with you, I've put 50lbs of tools in it to go to the yard where I want to keep it zipped up while stripping parts.

I hate to repeat myself. But since my original post got buried under the ethanol stuff, I'm going to.

Does anyone have a better scan (or even know what magazine it came from) of the free tarp coupon that is on this coupon sheet.

Thanks!

How about this? It is small (12") and has inside/outside pockets.

Sorry here is my scan thanks to Canon who wont support Windows 7 so I have to go out and buy a whole new scanner...

I got my 10 year old Visioneer scanner working under Win7-- 32 and 64.
Look around and another Canon scanner driver just might work. This was true for me. The driver for the 9240 worked in my 8100

Plus I use Picasa for scanning. It enables the old scanner software somehow

i just installed this canon driver from a lide 25 but I will see.. The only program that works with it so far is vueScan.

But I'm going to reboot my pc to see if helping it will work with the canon toolbox.

I went to the pre-parking lot sale "exclusively for ITC members" yesterday and picked up the $39.99 drill press. They didn't care if you were a member or not. One lady came in and was like, "what's this ITC membership about?" The worker was like, "they send you coupons, blah blah blah, but we're letting anyone in." I then used the ITC coupon for the drill press (of course I didn't have to show proof of membership).
