How do the 20% off coupons work?
Do you give them to the cashier with the item that you plan to use it on?
If you use it at the end, will it apply to the highest priced item in the cart (that you didn't already use a coupon for)?

Use it first with the most expensive item you have which does not use a coupon.

As far as the coupon goes, can you post it? I print all of mine on a B/W laser printer.

One thing to note, if you are using a 20% off and a free item coupon at the same time to buy something cheap. Make sure that the system doesn't try to use the 20% off on the free item.

For example, last week I used a 20% off coupon and a free scissors while buying a $3 chisel set. The scissors were priced at something stupid like $6 (as all the free items are from time to time). The system automatically takes 20% off of the highest priced item, in this case the scissors.

the cashiers at my store are pretty good about catching this. But it's something to keep an eye out for. HF doesn't pay its people enough to care about the little things 100% of the time. Lord knows I wouldn't work any harder than I had to if I worked there.

Depends on the store, but my print out was barely readable. Make sure the expiration date is somewhat visible and the code too. Otherwise just blame it on the printer. I bought stuff yesterday using 9 coupons, none of them were the same size. No one cared at all.
A few months back there was a free tarp cpn. The print quality on it was so bad, i think the only thing you could see on the coupon was the image of the tarp and the word "FREE" - the bar code barely had any white between the stripes. The clerk tried scanning it three or four times, then tried about 6 or 7 times manually entering the code - even asking myself and another clerk if we could help him decipher some of the numbers. We finally determined it had expired (couldn't read the date), so instead, he dug around in his pile of coupons behind the register and gave me the coupon price. As always, YMMV.

I going to pick this up next weekend, here's a scan of that entire page.
Is there a newer version of this coupon with a later expiration date?

Anyone buy a jack from these guys? I generally have a rule not to buy any tools with moving parts from HF but I might make an exception. I am looking at the low profile 2 ton jack for $85

This one is good until 6/28 (bottom left). Page is from April 2012 Diesel Power mag.

Thanks and reped. I will have to keep my eye out for it. I have some reclaimed oak beams that I would like to mill up. But I don't need to be hitting nails a $22 a pop for blades.

Just bought the 1.5 ton racing jack last night for $69.99 with coupon from digital savings, have not got a chance to use it on my car yet but I was pretty impressed with the quality from first impressions. They seem to get pretty good reviews too.

I bought the 1.5 ton aluminum racing jack 68053/69252 last year and it's great. Thinking about getting the 3 ton version at some point since the 1.5 only goes to 14 + inches on the saddle but for $59 it's a steal. It does well for the wife's Civic and is really light. My 3.5 ton only gets rolled out now when absolutely necessary.

The 2 Ton Low Profile Heavy Duty Floor Jack Rapid Pump 68050 has great reviews and a nice lifting height of 23+ inches. If you can get that for $85 then I'd say it's a real nice deal.

I've had 2 Craftsman jacks go out on me over the years (blown cylinder seals on one and broken spring on another) and currently my 3.5 ton is an American Forge and Foundry. All the inexpensive ones are made in China or Taiwan (including my AFF) so unless you are looking for a "made in America" product then most of these are fairly comparable. The people I know who own HF jacks swear by (not at) them.

FYI - If you need one made in the US then I'd suggest you look into Hein Werner. Note that there is a slight price differential and that they are owned by Shinn Fu Company of America, Inc. If it were me, I'd pull the trigger on the 2 ton for $85 in a heartbeat. My two cents...

bought 3 ton yesterday, used it today on an oil change. My car needs those stupid rubber boots for the jack stands, so the jack was holding the car while I was under it, still had jack stands there. I had it up for over 2 hours, I was in no rush. Absolutely fine.

Ohh and it was 69.99 with a coupon, it's not the aluminum one.

Also, had the pleasure using 1/2" click torque wrench. It works flawlessly.

This page is from the April 2012 Guns & Ammo. FYI - A couple months ago I bought the Industrial Ear Muffs here at this same price. I'm very impressed with how comfortable they are.
