Someone ordered a 044991 Mill/Drill online and then didn't want it. It's been at the Stockton, CA store for a while. One of the guys says the manager is wanting it gone and to make and offer......Paul

Hmmmm, I'm interested... Do you think it could go for less than the October ITC Price of $460?

I've seen a lot of CNC conversions online, does anyone have experience with this mill?

Never hurts to ask. Kick him a price. I hate to see a mill without a home,..

It is just one of a variaty of mini-mills. HF, grizzly, micro-mark, homier/speedway. They require some cleanup and adjustment (I wish they sold them as kits instead) and there's upgrade paths for when the plastic gears take a dump.

I think many would say to save your money for a good used full sized machine, which isn't always practical. Depending on your conversion path, you might be able to recover costs when you upgrade. There's always someone looking to start down the path,..

If you have a Northern Tool by you see this thread for a much better compressor option for ~$250.

It's very heavy, feels like 4-5 pounds. The reviews on it are great, many people comparing it to an Ingersoll-Rand model that costs around $250-350. I'm getting mine in a day or two and I'll report back.
I have the older EQ model which it's only like 2 years old I like the new one because it's a little bit thinner.
Having used both the CP EQ (current), and an IR 2131 and 2135TiMax, changing direction and the weight are the two big differences in favor of the IRs. The IRs are 1-handed direction changes and noticeably lighter but a lot more expensive. If I were using them daily, IR for weight/use. For my less than monthly use, I see the CP EQs as enough.
