I'm the OP of this deal and was wondering why it hasn't garnered much interest or conversation.
Could it have something to do with the time of day when I posted it?!? 🤷🏻 ♂️

Many engineers and scientists have attempted to prove over the years that one amplifier has much better sonic than another. But no one was able to devise a scientific test that could support this claim. It's no different than religion.
I've seen in-room frequency response graphs of two different amplifiers that vary by +/-0.5dB using the same speaker. However, moving the test microphone 2 feet in any direction will yield a much larger frequency response variation.

The Costco warranty is part of this deal, it needs to be taken into account. If you pay with Citi Visa, that's 4 years.

You're going to get a different opinion depending on who you talk to when it comes to Denon vs. Yamaha

I'll be sticking with Yamaha.
I'll be sticking with Yamaha.
Yamaha produced several excellent receivers with great value (1996 to 2004). The newer stuffs add a lot of me-too bells and whistles while sacrificing the robustness of the amplifier section. That said, Yamaha's electronics design remain top notch (bang for your $).
If you aren't a Costco member, check to see how their return policy applies to non-member purchases.
I guess I am. I bought a Yamaha RX-V577 that has been randomly shutting itself off and recentlt has static in the front right channel when playing music after a little over three years. So I'm in the market for a new receiver. I'm not holding it against the brand, but also wondering if buying this would be like buying an expensive gaming PC to play free cell. if they handle their returns like Kohl's then I'm in.
I don't see them listed here (from Costco's site):
Electronics: Costco will accept returns within 90 days (from the date the member received the merchandise) for Televisions, Tuner-Free Displays, Projectors, Major Appliances (refrigerators above 10 cu. ft., freezers, ranges, cooktops, over-the-range microwaves, dishwashers, washers and dryers), Computers, Touchscreen Tablets, Smart Watches, Cameras, Aerial Cameras (drones), Camcorders, MP3 players and Cellular Phones (return details will vary by carrier service contract).
