Picked one up today! Thanks for the post. It's been okay so far...the webcam has some gunk on the inside that hopefully compressed air can get out. Also had repeat freezes within the first few hours of use...forums say that a BIOS and driver update would fix it. I'll report back if that actually did anything.

Typing this on one that was about $300 more, but with much better specs if you want more:
- Core i7
- 16GB RAM
- 4K Touchscreen
- 512GB SSD

My XPS (9350) was pretty awful when I first received it, as wifi kept breaking and other random issues. Until I updated the bios and now it's the best laptop I ever used. I read that it was due to upgrading to Windows 10

How is the battery life? Is the battery swappable?

You purchased a 9380 from Microcenter with those specs for approximately $1299.99? If so, do you have the SKU (I'm in Los Angeles area)... Thanks

Not exactly... I get these XPS 13s for employees at my office over time. 9370 with the specs I mention is $1,350 at Costco now thru 2/20/19. Got a 9360 with the specs I mention last year thru Dell Outlet (new, not refurb) after discounts/cash back for about $1,200. Though I got my wife an Asus 2-in-1 with the specs I mention (except full-HD, not 4K), for a net of $825 a few months ago at Best Buy - it's almost 1/2 pound lighter than the XPS.

That spec&price combination sounds like a 9370.

Okay- I'm deciding on the 9380 (new webcam placement) vs. 9370 (chin cam)- have a "Held for Quote" from Office Depot on their regular priced $1679.00 unit (VIP Member- got them to honor the fiasco of $1139.99 deal of last year)- so again deciding on options.

How do you like typing on the XPS 13s? I was using one in store and was put off by the travel of the keys & cramped keyboard, but I was only using it for like a minute. Does it get more comfortable with time?

About a dozen people at the office have XPS 13s, and none complain about the keyboard or use an external one - some use a larger external monitor. The keys were increased slightly in size starting with the model that was released about a year ago that lacks the USB-A port
