This thread is being created so people -- generally, those people who can't seem to resist talking about off-topic junk in the Target coupon thread -- have a place to talk about shopping at Target and other miscellaneous matters.

All you folks who hang out in the Target coupon thread, start hanging out here instead! When you've got something relevant to post about Target coupons, please post about it in the Target coupon thread! We'd love to hear about it, but NOT about your dog, your cat, your mom, your genital herpes, your... well, you get the idea.

I had the WORST Target run ever...and I am afraid that I un-jedi'd my favorite cashier.
She has always been great, ALWAYS! Well today I guess the LOD and GSTL had nothing better to do. So tell me why they LEAN against the red wall and watch ALL of my coupons (ALL valid!!!) Which makes me feel like a total freak of nature!!
Then its the pace coupon and the buddies coupon. The GSTL, tells me "we can't sell something for $0...and tells me I can't use the buddies coupon (paper insert) because its not in the bottle like pictured, the cashier tried to defend me. He told me that they couldn't adjust down the price. When I was finished they both walked away, my cashier the whole time was saying "she is such a great shopper" (god bless her heart) and she even apologized to me after they walked away.
I just got off the phone the guest relations or whatever, and I could barely understand the guy. I am not sure what happened....he gave me some reference number and said something about visiting the target and then calling them back with that number?? Confused

God I just had a shitty day all around, I did my first attempt at Ksuper doubles and somehoe failed miserably....ended up walking out spending far more money than I was planning on shit that I didn't even need. Mad Mad Mad

As far at T is concerned you could have suggested the GSTL & LOD referred to the workbench for corporate policy on each of those situations. I would call guest relations again and make sure the person you speak to understands what kind of a shopping experience you had and why. They contact the store to re-train them on these issues.

As far as K is concerned. Take your receipt back to CS and return the crap you don't need. All is not lost!

Saw the most interesting thing today at the Walmart right across the street from my little ghetto Target. One of the older manager ladies who sometimes jumps on the register at T when they are busy was at WM with a little PDA looking thing examining the prices on certain food items. I walked past her once and then stood at the end of the aisle kind of watching her. It looked like the PDA thing had a scanner on the end of it but I didn't see her scanning anything, just typing some stuff in. I wanted SO badly to stop and say something to her like "aren't you working in the wrong store", but I didn't. I'm dying to know what she was doing over there at WM... recon work or personal shopping.

Also found some $1/2 Goldfish peelies at Walmart while I was there.

Secret lots of T workers shop at WM - their prices are still cheaper at WM even after their 10% employee discount Roll

I just didn't feel like getting into it with them. It really bothered me how they hawked my transaction...now I miss the old grouchy GSTL! She atleast k1's my beeping Q's!

After being couped up in the house for 5 days with a sick kid, meanwhile I have been extremely depressed for the last two weeks I was just hoping make myself feel better and both stores did neither for me. Although I did get this really cool remote control car (FOR MYSELF laugh out loud) at K, it was 90% 69.99, then reduced to $5! its awesome, its smaller than a micro machine and its PINK!! And some yummy reese's valentines clusters for 69 cents!

Haven't been to Target in so long it's a sin! Since before baby. tsk tsk shake head

He keeps me so busy and it's RSV season and the nurse who came to do a home visit told me not to take him out at all if I can help it. 3x more babies admitted to hospital than they have room for.

If you wanted to see some pictures I just posted some sono, preggers, and baby pics in the 'lounge babies 09' thread.
Scroll to post 1025 and keep going, to many pics to put them all in one post.

That said DH is out of town and I need a few scrips at Target so I HAVE to go out, going to try for a really small run since I will be there any way. Can't wait to get back to Targeting like I used to, I'm really jonzing for a windshield run!

I love that one.
Kohl's had a Will Ferrell "More Cowbell" t-shirt. I got DH one and he almost hates to wear it because people are always stopping to either ask where he got it or WTF it meanslaugh out loud
My friends in BOC look at it as kind of a mixed blessing; they do sell shirts at their shows with 'More Cowbell' on them, though. In the end, I think it's really more about Ferrell than it is Blue Oyster Cult...though without that nifty tock-tock-tock-tock the skit just would never have been done.

we only need 2.5 more inches to get to the annual average.
Me thinks you don't need anymore inches...you're over the annual average right now as it is...

Quote from laTeri :

They do. I think Wally does also.

BUT, what would have been funny, is I know that WM is very proprietary about their prices and such, and makes a big to-do out of stating very emphatically (I've even seen a sign, somewhere, plus I think it's on their website) that they do NOT allow such activity in their stores...so, the OP *should have* gone to WM management or a CSM and said, 'There's some lady wandering your aisles with a PDA-looking thing punching prices into it and really looking at your POS displays...yada yada yada,' then stood back and watched the show.

^-------is that a run-on, or what?
