    Costco has a 4 variety (intensity 9-11) pack of 80 capsules of Peet's Coffee for $50, they're on par with Nespresso pods as far as the coffee goes imo. They're also aluminum pods like the Nespresso brand.

    I picked up the Mr Coffee espresso maker for $100 at Amazon during a sale. Has a milk frother and doesn't use pods. Makes lattes, espresso, and capacinos. We've used it 3x a week for the past 3 months. I recommend that model if you want to.skip the pods.

    I have the Vertuoline/old Aeroccino and didn't really like the coffee it makes; kinda tempted to get this for cheaper and more espresso pod selections, besides it's halve the size!
