That figures they would have it now. I just gave up on mine and bought a G602 from a recent post. My MX518 has been with me since the Battlefield 2 days, but the sliders don't slide well anymore. Haven't been able to get myself to hook up the G602 yet so now I'll have to decide whether to return it and get a new MX518. Thanks for the heads up OP.
I really liked my G700s. The first one had an unbalanced wheel so in free spin it would always roll back or forward when I finished scrolling. Worked fine in ratchet mode but I prefer free spin for browsing. Logitech CS just shipped me another one, no questions asked. Used the second for years, until the left-click died. They replaced it again, but this time I got the G502.
I really miss having more thumb buttons but I would miss free spin so much more. Wish they made a G602 with a free-spinning wheel. Just call it the G702 or something lol. I want more buttons than the G703 offers, and I want the free-spinning wheel. Some of us really like our macros!
I can't believe they're bringing back the mx518! One of the best gaming mice ever sold. I just restored my old mx518 and a Battlefield 2142 edition back to new. I thought about using it, but I'll just buy one of these instead.
Just bought one off the bay from a Chinese seller located in CA. Few days shipping and same price. If you can't wait they are on the bay. Been using my new one for a month and it feels the same, I did however strip this cable and re-sleeve it for a bit less resistance. Gave one of my old back up 518s to a friend and I imagine it will go for another 5+ years

It's also on Amazon being sold by Logitech for the same price. Free 2 day prime shipping for me. I need a new work mouse and I would buy this right now if there were a wireless option.

You can order new glides on eBay for less than $2. They work great too.

Looks like the "pre-order" status is gone on Logitech's website.
I assume it's "live" at this point!
