I've installed a dozen or so Ring doorbells for customers and have one myself and would STRONGLY recommend AGAINST buying one. They never work when you need them to, updates are atrocious and sometimes makes things worse, and if you have a WiFi router or mesh system that cannot separate 2.4ghz and 5ghz into separate SSIDs, it won't connect. The PoE wired version, which should be cheaper to produce and harder to install, is $500, simply because they know they can stick it to you if you have enough $ to get PoE ran to your front door (and there are no decently priced competitors in that space). WiFi is extra weak on these, and your phone might get great reception in exactly the same spot as the doorbell but the Ring itself somehow doesn't.

Need to see who's visiting on Halloween or right after Christmas? Good luck, that's when their servers get hammered the hardest and the mandatory cloud service will just not connect, thus rendering it useless when you need it.

I ignored all of these warnings in reviews before I bought mine (I'm an installer, SURELY these are just user errors. Nope. Shame on me for being cocky.)
Heads up this no longer streams to the google chromecast or google hub displays
I would recommend getting this at Costco for $199 with 1 year cloud service.

Hmmm should I get this or something else. I been on market for one of these but keep going back and forth between Ring and Nest. What are everyone's advise?

This is the lowest price I've seen for the Pro. The only thing that would make it slicker is a year of free cloud storage.

Dealguru on massgenie. My product arrived used with the box tapped to appear new and sealed. Be wary.

This doesn't look like it comes with the free year like Costco. I ended up getting the nest hello due to other people's experience saying the ring pro's internal battery died right after warranty.

I wonder why all these manufacturers provide only cloud storage. Any good door bell ONVIF compliant? Suggest please...
