45 is the optimal price. you'll find a few bucks more or less but around 45 is where you want to be for xbl

I'm sorry I disagree. I see on a regular basis $41 and I don't pay more for that. The other day there was a sale for 3 months that if purchased came out to ~$41-$42.

Does Xbox Live offer $40 to re-up your subscription like a week or so before it expires via the Dashboard still? I've always done it that way since its usually always the cheapest method.

Yep, best deals for Live has been for around 37-39. Standard deal price has always been 40-45.

Haven't played in a while and tried to get on the other day - crap, my live ran out! Was able to limp along with various trial codes found while searching old game cases. Couldn't bring myself to pay retail so I've been waiting for a deal like this. Not going to bicker about saving an extra $3, thanks OP!

Anytime you see them for less than 45$, it's because it's from a different region (Brazil etc.) & you have to use a VPN for it to work in the US.. or you will get banned.
Always make sure to check the region, cheapest you can find one for in the US is 45-50$.
