This is a FYI for people who are interested in a CHEAP ($20 per month)Unlimited Plan through AT&T. The UConnect plan via the ZTE Mobley is back for a limited time. Currently, AT&T is sold out of the device (and its not certain if they will getting them back in stock). but you can still get the plan if you can come up with the ZTE Mobley device. You can still find a handful of the devices on eBay currently. The cool thing about the device is that people have figured out how to create adapters so the device can run off a wall outlet.

Per the wonderful website, RVmobileinternet.com you need to call a special ATT number to get the deal as it a special promotion. Below are the two numbers they listed on the website:

Primary Phone Number: 855-894-9945

Secondary Phone Number: 866-662-4548

HERE ARE LINKS TO THE RVMOBILEINTERNET SITE WHERE THEY DISCUSS WHAT THE MOBLEY IS AND HOW TO GET THIS DEAL:

https://www.rvmobileinternet.com/...-of-stock/

https://www.rvmobileinternet.com/...-campaign/

You can read about the device on several active forums too. Howard Forums is probably one of the best!

I have 2 Mobley lines and one has since upgraded to Nighthawk. My usage is very low (few gbs streaming Sportify in my cars and office). I don't like the Nighthawk that much as it is bulky and the battery seldom last more than a free hours. Speed and number of connections are not of my concern.

With taxes it is $46.xx for a few gbs of data monthly. I am keeping them mainly when I travel or vacation (which is less frequent now).

That potential outcome is enough to make me want to do it the legitimate way. If they cancelled the account, not only would I be out of my high-speed internet service but also would lose money on the equipment too...

I'm glad I went the legitimate way and purchased the ZTE Mobley new and outright....
By legitimate way you mean you're only using the mobley hooked up to your car obdii port while driving, right?? LOL..... any other usage would of course be against TOS and hardly "legitimate" as you put it...

for anyone that signed up within the last week or so - were you able to get an existing SIM activated (vs them sending one in the mail)? Also - is the SIM that is sent out unlocked (not tied to the mobley IMEI) - I recall reading that a PUK code was sometimes required to move the SIM from mobley to another hotspot.

This is a legitimate concern: https://www.reddit.com/r/ATT/comm...ocking/

If new SIMs come locked this whole thing will be a total waste

Supposedly they all lock with a PIN but you can call them and get the PIN. That's what people are saying anyway.

If you read down on the thread, you will see people talking about they received offers to upgrade their device from ATT where they were able to buy the Netgear Nighthawk and the Unite Explore directly from ATT. It seems like ATT hasnt been real clear on this...

It seems like ATT is not being clear to me on this question...

I've read several reports (on Howard Forums, Slickdeals, etc.) where people with Mobley Connected Car Unlimited (CCU) plans claimed they were prompted by ATT to upgrade their device on that account from Mobley to Nighthawk, Unite Explore, etc

Below is a link to the only page I could locate with any terms of service about the CCU plans. Does anyone a link or have a copy of the full terms and conditions for the CCU plan???

On this page, they state the Harman Spark device must be used in a vehicle. But there is no language like that in the section describing the CCU plan.

Whoa. That's not good. Could be limited to a Mobley with an AC power supply in the near future. Lot's of speculation though.

Yes tried both numbers first. Multiple times in fact. Ended up talking to multiple susupervisors.

Can confirm works in other devices never installed in my Mobley using LTE hotspot router instead. 60-90mb download speed 30 up. Used sim that came wit Mobley just never turned Mobley on after they activated sim.

Hmmm.... Well, at least they figured it out in the end....

We just called the first number and asked for the Connected Car Unlimited plan for $20 per month and told him, we already have the brand new ZTE Mobley and then gave him the IMEI number from the device and he set us up with an account and shipped the SIM card.

I can't find the language in the terms of service for the Connected Car Unlimited plan where it says you can't switch SIM cards from the Mobley device to another hotspot. I wish someone would link to it and show it.... Also, Ive read several reports where people were asked by ATT if they wanted to upgrade the device on their Mobley CCU account to a more powerful hotspot device....
