Man...people can't help but to turn this into a political debate. It's pretty sad, really. It's news - it's going to have a lean to it. Read some from the left, read some from the right, make your own decisions about what's what.

No need to attack or insult. I swear, the people who see everything via party lines are the least happy people on the planet, the people most likely to lash out at others. You people frankly scare me.
I read both of these in digital format daily. I wouldn't say better. NY Times op-eds lean left and WSJ op-ed to the right. WSJ front page will tend more toward business and Times will tend toward politics. I think it's a great mix to read both.
I think it's free only for Amazon Prime members.

That's great. I've been getting The NY Times, but I'm going to add the Wall Street Journal.
Better more rounded coverage

this is great, repped!

Does anyone have experience with listening to these on audible? If I want to listen to it on my Echo device, do I have to first download the news each morning before I can listen to it or can I just ask Alexa to read me today's news?

"Release date: 03-15-19" -- do I have to remember to get each day, or is there a podcast-like feed?

My sub just recently ended, but it's showing me that I need to spend 1 credit on each of these. What are you guys seeing to get it for free? TIA.

I don't have a subscription. When I click on one of the papers, it says that it's free with a 30-day trial, so is making me subscribe to Audible.

Thanks! I didn't realize I could subscribe to all 3 at once. I remember I saved the audio for the NY Times last year when a friend was quoted. I was able to isolate the file and send it to her months later, which was appreciated.

I found this post on reddit asking how to play the digests using an Echo:

It's not a great solution but it sounds like it's what you'd have to do. I think I will just stick with Alexa's NPR One skill.
