oh gosh I want this projector SO bad!!! Let me try and answer some potential questions/concerns...
It retails at $3,000
Normal sale is $2,700
And once in a while $2,500 (Costco had it for $2,500 + $150 GC)
So this $2,300 +$100 GC is a steal.
Now before the haters come in, let's talk about specs/tech...
First, there are a lot of projectors for this same price that are better in a lot of ways (the perfect example is the new BenQ HT3550 that comes out in a week or two for $1,500).
With this projector, ignore comparing it to other projectors because you're paying for it's functionality, which no other projector offers.
For example, when I finally can afford this (Christmas?), this will be my use:
Take it to the bedroom, project the video on the ceiling for some fun comedies
Take it outside, enjoy a movie/show over a firepit/jacuzzi
Take it to work, project it on a wall to watch March Madness, or work-related stuff like department numbers/goals
Take it to friends/family events, project it to 100-150" on any wall they have
Take it to my theater room at home, for regular movie watching
The uses and benefits are countless & since it's laser you don't have to worry about replacing expensive bulbs/parts, this will last 10-30 years.
Lastly, the best thing is I literally only need to plug in the power cable, no other cord. Built-in sound (no bluetooth/wired speaker needed), built-in WebOS for Netflix/Hulu/Amazon/YouTube (no AppleTV/Roku needed), built-in Wifi (no ethernet cable needed), etc. So to watch any movie/show I simply use the projector remote.
I've done extensive research on 4k projectors, read hundreds of reviews for all of them, I'm on AVSforums daily, I even made a list of every 4k projector under $3,000 and all of their benefits… and I'm still choosing this one in the end!
Anyway, this is a slick deal, wish I had the funds, but I wanted to at least provide some feedback for those wondering!!
This thing is really cool. I do not have one personally, but my neighbor does. I have seen it in is home theater, with a 12ft screen and it was very impressive. He has a really good screen, so that helps as well. I have also seen it outside, watching sports by the pool. Was pretty bight, even during the day.
May have to think about this one.
This projector can do 150".

...wait what.... my understanding was lumens is all that matters with respect to outdoor usage and that basically no consumer level projector (laser or otherwise) is ever going to produce the required lumens for outdoor DAYTIME projection
After a few hours of research, seems to be a good deal on a pretty awesome projector. 45 day return guarantee if not. Just pulled the trigger. I do have one question though. As I was checking out, it said the Visa card expires in a few days. Does anyone have any additional info on this? With 2-5 day shipping, I am afraid the card will be expired before it arrives. Thanks in advance!

Specs list it at 2,500 lumins - that's pretty bright. Doing the math makes it seem like it's brighter than my OnePlus 6T screen.

The numbers are deceiving. It's 2500 lumens at the source, not the screen. Putting in some general numbers here would say this would not perform well outdoors in my opinion.
Someone help me understand, how is this laser technology only 2500 lumens which is similar to 2400-2500 lumens on old tech bulbs in dlp projectors? will this thing do well in a lit room? also, how is the lifespan of this laser tech which isn't replaceable have only 20k hrs?
edit: n/m looking at YouTube, it doesn't do well in a lit room.
This is the least-expensive laser-engine projector with HDR currently on the market. It is LG's flagship projector. Between the 4k (3840 x 2160) native resolution, bulb life (over 20,000 hours, estimated), HDR, and brightness (2500 lumens claimed), this is the best deal for a new projector at this price point. Buydig had a few open box at $1,649 awhile ago, but that deal expired quickly.

It's only downside is no 3D compatibility, if that's a dealbreaker for you.Waiting on Sony to drop their 4K to affordable levels which cost twice this thing.
Have the 3D VPL series and hooked up darbee vision to it for now for a crisper image. Original lamp still going strong.
