If you currently have any kind of Saphire personal card that is active, you will NOTqualify for bonus points, even if you are approved.
If you close your Saphire card recently, you will need to wait 48 months from the date you received the previous Saphire bonus before applying to get the new card's bonus points.
Be careful not to waste a hard credit pull Smilie

Chase T&C:
"The product is not available to either (i) current cardmembers of any Sapphire credit card, or (ii) previous cardmembers of any Sapphire credit card who received a new cardmember bonus within the last 48 months. If you are an existing Sapphire customer and would like this product, please call the number on the back of your card to see if you are eligible for a product change. You will not receive the new cardmember bonus if you change products."
95 af is not waived for first year basically previously it was 50k with 95 waived first year now it's 60k with 95 af so pretty much the same
Also I'll get csr rather than csp if you spend 3400+ in travel, dining etc
It is pretty straightforward. When you use your card for ANY travel purchase (like Airbnb, airfare, hotels, Lyft, Uber, parking, some tolls, and many others), you will automatically be reimbursed, until you've spent a total of $300 on travel. In other words, Chase will pay for the first $300 in travel you spend each year with your card.

question. I don't travel much, how much is the 60,000 points worth if i choose cash back? Is that an option? Old rule of thumb was 10,000 points per $100 but not sure if that's how this card works.

So I cannot get both the CSP & the CSR bonuses, even if I were to apply after a month between applications?

Don't you not only have to pay the $95, but ALSO pay the $95 for year 2 also, before you can even downgrade to a card with no annual fee?

You have 45? days to downgrade and get a refund of the annual fee.

You can't get another sapphire card while you already have one, and you can't get a new one if you've received a signup bonus for one in the last 48 months.

I assume only after the second one, though. I remember reading that you have to keep the card for a minimum of 1 year. So you couldn't just use it for 45 days from when first approved and get a refund on the first year's fee. Also, I wonder if people saying you can do it within 45 days of the second $95 have even done it before.... because I know in the past, when the first year's fee was waived, people said you flat had to pay the one for year 2.

Can you link to anyone who said that, so I can tell them they're wrong? Thanks!

Chase has implemented some new/expanded rules in the recent past to try and limit people signing up solely for signup bonuses. Such as going from 24 to 48 months on the Sapphire bonus restrictions and the expansion of the 5/24 rule.

Nope they fixed that loophole. People used to apply both card on the same day to avoid the restriction. Now they would cancel one of your applications or make you call in to decide which one you want before approving any of them.

Does anyone know how exactly the 48 months rule would apply for CSP?
Let's say my previous CSP was around April 15 2015 but my CSR was around May 01 2017.
If i want to apply for CSP now, would that 48 months rule count from my previous CSP or would it count from any sapphire card including my CSR bonus?
Thanks in advance for information.

Didn't see this posted anywhere, but there's also an increased referral bonus on this card if you have it and want to recommend it to family or friends.
