If you currently have any kind of Saphire personal card that is active, you will NOTqualify for bonus points, even if you are approved.
If you close your Saphire card recently, you will need to wait 48 months from the date you received the previous Saphire bonus before applying to get the new card's bonus points.
Be careful not to waste a hard credit pull
Chase T&C:
"The product is not available to either (i) current cardmembers of any Sapphire credit card, or (ii) previous cardmembers of any Sapphire credit card who received a new cardmember bonus within the last 48 months. If you are an existing Sapphire customer and would like this product, please call the number on the back of your card to see if you are eligible for a product change. You will not receive the new cardmember bonus if you change products."
95 af is not waived for first year basically previously it was 50k with 95 waived first year now it's 60k with 95 af so pretty much the same
Also I'll get csr rather than csp if you spend 3400+ in travel, dining etc
It is pretty straightforward. When you use your card for ANY travel purchase (like Airbnb, airfare, hotels, Lyft, Uber, parking, some tolls, and many others), you will automatically be reimbursed, until you've spent a total of $300 on travel. In other words, Chase will pay for the first $300 in travel you spend each year with your card.

Each year?!?!?!! That's not just the first year?!?! So basically if you take out the 450-300 your looking at 150 annual fee for the reserve? Iam coming on my 48 month on the sapphire soon. I only had the preferred before. I easily spend more than 300 for travels alone. I wonder if the reserve will better serve me. Hmmmmm

I went with the reserve 4 months ago and have easily made back the 450.
- $300 Annual travel expense. This includes any flights, car rental, uber/lyft etc..
- Free Priority Pass. I've used it 5 times already at restaurants for ~$25 each time
- $100 credit (every 4 years) for Global Entry
- 3% cashback on Restaurants + Travel (after $300)
- Points with travel are 1.5 cents, you can get special transfer bonuses as well, making the average around 2 cents.

What if you are an authorized user on a card, but don't have one yourself? Can you still get this reward?
Cool, so I can pay an overdraft fee to my bank instead if I'm not expecting the withdraw.
Yea, I'll just not do business with them. How much money do you think they heist pulling this maneuver every year? I have plenty of credit cards and never had any other company do this.
I'd like a reserve offer. Finally moved in to the next tax bracket. šš¾ thankful. I'd like to get it, but hoping for an offer.
The preferred offer seems nice too. Btw I'm a rookie to all these travel credit cards.
Any articles you guys could refer me to? Thanks

8 Chase cards open and they have never done this to me, but Capital One has done it to the 1 card that I have open with them. Just set your account to make the minimum payment - if nothing else, at least you protect against the late fee.

Changing your monthly due date isn't acceptable practice for any other payment schedule (e.g. car loan or mortgage) and isn't acceptable for credit card providers either. I'll cancel any credit card & boycott any company that does this to me.
I don't want unexpected bank charges & I prefer to pay off my credit cards in full. Either way they're stealing my money via late fees or interest.
Capital One never did this to me, but stopped using those cards a few years ago so maybe I just didn't notice.
I'll take this opportunity to dump on JP Morgan / Chase. They like to change the due date for payment & rack up fees for late payment then tell you they clearly print the due date on their statements like it's a normal thing.
I'll never give them my business again.
Even though I have automatic payments to pay off the full balance, I always look at the date it's due, it's my responsibility to know that. Personally I'd rather trust the auto payment than something getting delayed in the mail. That's happened before to me.
EDIT: Just looked at my Chase accounts, 10 cards between me, spouse and business and all of the payments have been taken out on the same day each month for each card.
I thought they removed $95 annual fee for preffered. Pretty sure I don't get charged one but I also have savings, mortgage and business account with them so that may be why.

Do you own a home?
Buy a $500 Home Depot gift card from them.
Do the same for Lowe's.
My home is heated with oil. I simply asked the company that delivers my oil to charge $500 in advance.
Any other payments that come up in the next, say, six months, you pay ahead (unless they charge extra for paying with credit card). Insurance, for example.
Yes, you lose some interest on your money with paying ahead, but with today's rates that is mere pittance compared to being able to get the bonus points.
