If you currently have any kind of Saphire personal card that is active, you will NOTqualify for bonus points, even if you are approved.
If you close your Saphire card recently, you will need to wait 48 months from the date you received the previous Saphire bonus before applying to get the new card's bonus points.
Be careful not to waste a hard credit pull
Chase T&C:
"The product is not available to either (i) current cardmembers of any Sapphire credit card, or (ii) previous cardmembers of any Sapphire credit card who received a new cardmember bonus within the last 48 months. If you are an existing Sapphire customer and would like this product, please call the number on the back of your card to see if you are eligible for a product change. You will not receive the new cardmember bonus if you change products."
95 af is not waived for first year basically previously it was 50k with 95 waived first year now it's 60k with 95 af so pretty much the same
Also I'll get csr rather than csp if you spend 3400+ in travel, dining etc
It is pretty straightforward. When you use your card for ANY travel purchase (like Airbnb, airfare, hotels, Lyft, Uber, parking, some tolls, and many others), you will automatically be reimbursed, until you've spent a total of $300 on travel. In other words, Chase will pay for the first $300 in travel you spend each year with your card.

When traveling abroad make sure you are billed in the country currency (not usd), otherwise the merchant/bank is charging fee and you get a very bad exchange rate.
my credit card knowledge is limited, can you explaing more, and how to do we make that particular merchant process as such,
what are the talking points here
There is no real talking point, some merchant are sneaky, and they select to bill you in usd.
(Not sure if they do that by malice or they think they are doing you a favor)
When you get your receipt make sure it is NOT in usd but in the currency of the country you are visiting.
E.g. if you are in Eurozone make sure you are billed in Euro, when you are using a terminal, you may be presented with a choice of currency or to "agree to be billed in USD" just decline and you will be billed in euro.
(In Europe you always keep you card in you hand, you rarely give it to the merchant/waiter)

Wow it used to 24 months.
I closed my sapphire around 2 yrs ago (approx) but I don't have exact info when I opened it as it's not on my online Chase account info. Is there anyway to find out exactly when I might have opened and closed it?
Im trying to activate a new CSP under my wife since i cancelled mines last yr. Do they still give the 50k points for adding AU ?
also, can i transfer my points from Freedom to her Preferred once she receive it where i can maximize my travel pts benefits
how soon will i receive this card once approve ? i have some resort and flights to book ?
If she applies for her own card you she will get 50K sign up bonus after 4K minimum spend. Yes, you can transfer to your freedom points to her account to get a better redemption value when booking travel. You can also do a double dip on the other Sapphire Reserve once you are approved for the Sapphire Preferred. Be sure to Apply the very next day you are approved. Do not apply the same day

oh maybe i mistyped it. doesn't by adding AU give extra points as well ? i remembered i added my wife back then as AU and i got extra 5k pts i believe

Yes. What's your 5/24 status for your wife ? Yes, the Chase Sapphire Preferred does have the 5k bonus when adding an authorized user.
Seeking advice , I recently got the ink business preferred and have just spent the $5000 to get the 80000 points. I'm not sure what to do next? Should I refer my husband and he get a business card so we can get another 80000 points then combine later or should I apply for the sapphire or freedom? I don't have any other credit cards besides Costco Citi. Appreciate any advice
I'll take this opportunity to dump on JP Morgan / Chase. They like to change the due date for payment & rack up fees for late payment then tell you they clearly print the due date on their statements like it's a normal thing.

Grab the Sapphire Preferred next while its at this increased 60k offer. Its likely going to go back down to 50k in the future.
The 80k offer is the standard on the Business Preferred and there's no indication of it decreasing in the future. So you and your husband can take advantage of that card after knocking out the Sapphire.
The Freedom and Freedom Unlimited are good cards, but have weaker signup bonuses. If you're wanting to maximize your bonuses and 5/24 slots, I would go for the bigger signup bonuses of cards like the Sapphire Preferred. You can also downgrade the Sapphire Preferred to a Freedom or Freedom Unlimited in the future.
