If you currently have any kind of Saphire personal card that is active, you will NOTqualify for bonus points, even if you are approved.
If you close your Saphire card recently, you will need to wait 48 months from the date you received the previous Saphire bonus before applying to get the new card's bonus points.
Be careful not to waste a hard credit pull
Chase T&C:
"The product is not available to either (i) current cardmembers of any Sapphire credit card, or (ii) previous cardmembers of any Sapphire credit card who received a new cardmember bonus within the last 48 months. If you are an existing Sapphire customer and would like this product, please call the number on the back of your card to see if you are eligible for a product change. You will not receive the new cardmember bonus if you change products."
95 af is not waived for first year basically previously it was 50k with 95 waived first year now it's 60k with 95 af so pretty much the same
Also I'll get csr rather than csp if you spend 3400+ in travel, dining etc
It is pretty straightforward. When you use your card for ANY travel purchase (like Airbnb, airfare, hotels, Lyft, Uber, parking, some tolls, and many others), you will automatically be reimbursed, until you've spent a total of $300 on travel. In other words, Chase will pay for the first $300 in travel you spend each year with your card.

I do have an active regular Sapphire card on my account actually.
Then you either need to cancel the current Sapphire card, or product change it to a Freedom or Freedom Unlimited card. Then you can apply for this offer.

I also have their Freedom card. Sounds like a lot of work to get into this deal!
Has anyone used Purchase Protection with the Chase Sapphire card? I bought a 65" tv online back on May 27. I had it shipped to my new address as we had just moved in. We didn't have the room ready to put it in so it sat in a box for a month. I know, I know, I should have opened it. When I did open it on July 7th, the screen was shattered. I called Google Express and they said it was out of the 30 day return window and couldn't help me. So I decided to file a claim on my CSR. I haven't head from anyone yet, but should I expect any resistance with this claim? I sent them the receipt, my statement showing the purchase and pictures of the TV. I'd think this is exactly what protection is for but I guess I'll see.
Does anyone know if NYC meters and E-ZPass get reimbursed on this card ? I drive a lot in NYC, also what about metro cards ?
This card doesn't have any travel credit to reimburse you for anything- that's the CSR.
(and all the things you mention probably would be reimbursed from the credit on the CSR- I know my EZ pass codes as travel, NY MTA cards do as well... and most parking meters I've ever used anywhere have as well though NOT all of em)

I wouldn't anticipate any resistance, although they may ask for shipping related details (UPS, etc) since that sounds like the origin of the damage, so have that information handy as it's likely the shipper is responsible.
Also, I don't know what 65" screens retail at but double check the Purchase Protection claim limit. I know Chase has switched this around lately, though it used to be $10,000.
Finally, if Chase chooses to repair it, beware that you will have to cover shipping costs.
Good luck, and please report back with your results! Chase, AmEx, Discover et al seem to be slowly tweaking or changing these buyer protection policies so I am interested to hear more about your experience.

Thanks for the input. It was only around $750 and it was FEDEX delivery. I'll make sure to have that info handy if asked. I'm almost 99.9% certain it was either shattered before it was ever shipped or during shipping. It literally sat in the same place at my house for a month before we moved it into the room. I know we didn't damage it during that move. I'll be sure to update with what they decide.

Yup..
Generally, it's one to two billing cycles after you meet the spending requirement.
Easy. Just send a secure message from within your online account. You might want to ask for a demotion to Freedom.
Isn't this for the reserve card and not preferred
