If you currently have any kind of Saphire personal card that is active, you will NOTqualify for bonus points, even if you are approved.
If you close your Saphire card recently, you will need to wait 48 months from the date you received the previous Saphire bonus before applying to get the new card's bonus points.
Be careful not to waste a hard credit pull
Chase T&C:
"The product is not available to either (i) current cardmembers of any Sapphire credit card, or (ii) previous cardmembers of any Sapphire credit card who received a new cardmember bonus within the last 48 months. If you are an existing Sapphire customer and would like this product, please call the number on the back of your card to see if you are eligible for a product change. You will not receive the new cardmember bonus if you change products."
95 af is not waived for first year basically previously it was 50k with 95 waived first year now it's 60k with 95 af so pretty much the same
Also I'll get csr rather than csp if you spend 3400+ in travel, dining etc
It is pretty straightforward. When you use your card for ANY travel purchase (like Airbnb, airfare, hotels, Lyft, Uber, parking, some tolls, and many others), you will automatically be reimbursed, until you've spent a total of $300 on travel. In other words, Chase will pay for the first $300 in travel you spend each year with your card.

Last day for delta amex gold refer a friend. 60k miles if you spend 2k in 3 months, free annual fee for 1st year...i think this is better. PM if you like. Easier to get approved.
Or just paypal the money to a spouse or family member, transfer it to their bank and have them give it back to you that way. So all in, you're looking at a $116.30 (2.9% + $0.30 for paypal fees), but I'd never transfer the exact amount, looks suspicious. I'd do $4176 and in the comments put "thanks for the loan" or some BS like that.
You can actually do $3886.98, and it will come out to $4000 with transaction fee. Chase does not care why you do the transaction as long as it is an transaction that makes them money. It is no difference to them if you actually buy something or go out to eat or do Paypal transfer. However, since this will induce a 2.9% transaction fee, it ain't cheap. I would use the card normally and just do the Paypal thing on the remaining amount when near the end of the 3 month period. Say you spent $1k, do the Paypal thing for the remaining $3k. (3000 - 0.3)/1.029=$2915.16 with the transaction fee, it will come out as $3k.
Hey guys. I just got my card in last night. I'm going on a trip in a couple months that'll cover for 2k. Does chase count gift cards or refills on cards for their sign up bonus? I was thinking of just spending the rest a bill and gift cards. But I hear some cards don't allow such actions.

As long as the merchant codes the GC as a purchase vs cash advance then they count for minimum spend. I think most do it that way but there might be limited exceptions.
No, they don't. But you can call immediately to get it rush delivered for free.
If it's helpful: I applied and was accepted on a Sunday evening. Called on Monday to request fast shipping and card was scheduled for Wednesday delivery.
if i got points for sapphire reserve card about 3 years ago. I do not qualify? or is the sapphire PREFERRED counted as different promo?
That is correct, you are not eligible to receive the bonus. It needs to have been 48+ months since you received the bonus on any sapphire product (reserve or preferred).
Does anyone know if you're instantly approved/get a temporary card number to use right away? Thanks in advance!
If it shows up in your chase app, I think you should be able to add them to Android/Apple Pay to use it. I asked the customer rep and was told no, but then received an email later that day that I can start using with android/Apple Pay. Hope this helps!
I applied about 10 days ago and they did a hard credit check immediately. I still haven't received any info. Does that mean I'm declined?
For some reason Chase doesn't seem to want me as a customer . I've only had 1 checking account in the US and it's always been with Chase. They rejected me for a Freedom card 4 years ago, twice. I was approved for every other card I applied for. My credit score is good 780-800, 3 open accounts, lots of credit, good income, nothing derogatory. I guess the only thing is I spent a year away from the US and used my cards minimally and kept a low checking balance, and just returned to regular US credit spending a month ago. Wonder if that's what they're looking at?

thanks! repped.. if I wait till 48+ months, do i have to close my account or can I just apply for the sapphire preferred?
