If you currently have any kind of Saphire personal card that is active, you will NOTqualify for bonus points, even if you are approved.
If you close your Saphire card recently, you will need to wait 48 months from the date you received the previous Saphire bonus before applying to get the new card's bonus points.
Be careful not to waste a hard credit pull Smilie

Chase T&C:
"The product is not available to either (i) current cardmembers of any Sapphire credit card, or (ii) previous cardmembers of any Sapphire credit card who received a new cardmember bonus within the last 48 months. If you are an existing Sapphire customer and would like this product, please call the number on the back of your card to see if you are eligible for a product change. You will not receive the new cardmember bonus if you change products."
95 af is not waived for first year basically previously it was 50k with 95 waived first year now it's 60k with 95 af so pretty much the same
Also I'll get csr rather than csp if you spend 3400+ in travel, dining etc
It is pretty straightforward. When you use your card for ANY travel purchase (like Airbnb, airfare, hotels, Lyft, Uber, parking, some tolls, and many others), you will automatically be reimbursed, until you've spent a total of $300 on travel. In other words, Chase will pay for the first $300 in travel you spend each year with your card.

There is no difference to the person applying (gets the same offer 60k points). Person referring gets 15k points as of now. I am sharing the 50% of the referral bonus (7.5k points) to the person applying so it's a win-win for both.
How do you share the points bonus? I am interested in this.

They usually share the $ equivalent.

The problem is that Chase never tells you where your referral bonus came from. So if someone is sharing multiple offer links, they'll have no way of tracking them.

So someone could ask for their piece of the referral bonus yet the referrer has no way of knowing if that person ever followed thru.

What's the dollar amount of 60k miles? This point system can be deceiving. Why can't they give us a dollar amount? Do we have redeem/purchase the airfare through chase website?

Cash redemption (statement credit) = $600
Travel redemption (thru Chase travel portal) = $750 ($600 x 1.25)

To receive the travel redemption bonus (1.25) you have to redeem/purchase through the Chase travel portal.

I got this Chase Sapphire Preferred to get the bonus to pay for my flight this summer to the British Virgin Islands. After doing some research i found that this was best for my need.

Now for a trip to disney with airfare already covered it prolly wont do much for you in the rewards portal itself (to get you the 1.25 multiplier.) But if you spend the 4K in 3 months you get the 60,000 points which you can use as $600 cash back on your card essentially. So this can give you a $600 bonus.

I put ALL of my bills on it. Expect for my Mortgage, Student loan, and car note every penny i spend goes on this card. Also if you know anybody has some larger expenses coming up that they are planning on paying cash, offer to pay for it with your card and have them pay you directly.

So, I should look for a CC bonus that will "refund" me travel expenses? Or maybe look for a Disney CC bonus? I have only done Airline Mileage cards. I want something with the most bang for my buck, since the hotel/park tickets will cost approximately $3,000.

Wife had this card approved 3/23/16, earned bonus...

First monthly statement of $4,000+ was due and paid on 5/14/16 so bonus probably posted late April 2016???

Closed acct 5/12/17

Quick question: With acct closed, how can I see exactly when the bonus points posted?

Or do I need to? 48 months would seem to be late April 2020...Any way to confirm when she will be eligible ???

Thanks for any help!

This might be a keeper since they are going to bump the annual fee for reserve

No, she won't get the bonus again anymore.

I have the CSR that I received back in September of 2016 (got the bonus in October of 2016). Just heard about the new $550 annual fee:

Can I PC the CSR to a freedom in the next few months, wait till October of 2020 and apply for the CSP to get the signup bonus?

Well....hmmm...I don't think this is accurate. I had a previous Sapphire Preferred, which was closed after annual fee posed...and after 48 months from bonus posting, I applied in branch in Oct 2019, and was told I was ineligible for the card due to it being less than 48 months since last bonus was paid. No credit check was pulled.

I again went in in Dec 2019 and was approved. I was told that no Sapphire card would be approved if it was not going to pay a bonus. I have fulfilled the spend, and expect the bonus to post with the first statement, due later this month.

My question was really... how can I find out when my wife's last bonus posted, with that account now closed.

To receive the travel redemption bonus (1.25) you have to redeem/purchase through the Chase travel portal.
You can also transfer Chase points to travel partner programs. Depending on the particular redemption, this can be significantly more valuable than the 1.25 portal redemption.

A Disney CC - or the Chase Disney debit card, for that matter - can be useful for the in-park perks and Disney store discounts that those cards provide, but the sign-up bonus isn't going to be as good as this card (or many other cards).

Care to cite your source on that (because it is very much wrong)?
