If you currently have any kind of Saphire personal card that is active, you will NOTqualify for bonus points, even if you are approved.
If you close your Saphire card recently, you will need to wait 48 months from the date you received the previous Saphire bonus before applying to get the new card's bonus points.
Be careful not to waste a hard credit pull Smilie

Chase T&C:
"The product is not available to either (i) current cardmembers of any Sapphire credit card, or (ii) previous cardmembers of any Sapphire credit card who received a new cardmember bonus within the last 48 months. If you are an existing Sapphire customer and would like this product, please call the number on the back of your card to see if you are eligible for a product change. You will not receive the new cardmember bonus if you change products."
95 af is not waived for first year basically previously it was 50k with 95 waived first year now it's 60k with 95 af so pretty much the same
Also I'll get csr rather than csp if you spend 3400+ in travel, dining etc
It is pretty straightforward. When you use your card for ANY travel purchase (like Airbnb, airfare, hotels, Lyft, Uber, parking, some tolls, and many others), you will automatically be reimbursed, until you've spent a total of $300 on travel. In other words, Chase will pay for the first $300 in travel you spend each year with your card.

Question for the pros here. I see the top comment saying that if you have saphire card already you won't get approved. Both the wife and I were gonna get this card for the points for travel. We need like 8 flights this year.

She has one card already from 5 years ago. She still won't be approved? If not any other cars that is recommended for miles or rewards?

Do Southwest cards also count towards the saphire? Or no? Because I have one of those and it's chase. Just making sure I don't waste an inquiry.

Both credit scores over 800

If you already have sapphire preferred then you can't get another one. Southwest Rapid Rewards card is a different card, though it is from chase too, and doesn't count towards sapphire.

Other cards you can consider Capital One Venture. It has a 50k intro offer as well and no annual fee for the first year.

Signup bonus requires not having an active account for 48 months. So you are good on CSP but not CSR. You can call Chase customer service to confirm.

Nope.

Sapphire signup bonus requires 48 months since the last time you received a sapphire signup bonus.

How long ago you opened, or closed, the card is irrelevant.

So for the guy who opened his last sapphire he's likely looking at anywhere from 10/21 to 1/22 depending exactly when the signup bonus posted- since that's the date from which the 48 month clock runs.

Activated CSP 8/2014 and CSR 10/2016. So add 3 months each respectively.

I'm only interested in CSP this go around. Sounds like I'm good, but I'll call CS to confirm before applying.

No, you are not good.

Doesn't matter which of the CSP or CSR you want, they are both part of the same card family in Chase's eyes. If you apply for any Sapphire card < 48 months after getting the signup bonus for any Sapphire card, you will be rejected/be ineligible for the signup bonus.

so what do we get for $95? 2 points for travel and 1 point spent for other items not very good. Costco card is free and get 4 point for gas, 3 points for travel etc. After getting the 600 bonus point do not believe I would us this card.

Costco CC travel point (3 points) are equal to 1.5 CSP points (2 points) earned per $1, no portal needed .

Just trying to future out what the $95 gets me?

Requires Costco membership ($60+), so it's not free for people that don't have/want a membership.

Well it depends, do you have a Costco membership? I would consider getting this card if you are about to spend 4k on a trip soon. Say you spent $4k, you would get 8k in points in addition to the 65k you'd get for signing up. 73k points is worth over $900 in travel on the portal.I got this card when the sign on was 50k, and have had it for over 3 years. Collectively I've only spend $60 on AF as they keep crediting me for each year I renew. It's been a great deal for me as I've collected over 100k in points, and still have 68k sitting in the bank.

No foreign transaction fee.
Primary rental car insurance (I once made a $5k+ claim on a rental I damaged backing up into a metal sculpture)
1:1 point transfer to many airline/hotel partners.

If you have other cards that offer those benefits or are not invested into the Chase UR point ecosystem then you won't realize much value for the $95 annual fee aside from the signup bonus.

thanks to the posters that responded to my Question. That do I get for the $95 fee.

Going to get this card only because of the bonus point ( going to have 4k + in medical bill within next 3 month.) but not sure if I will keep it next year and pay $95.

Thanks again

for people sending referral links for CSP, how are you sharing the referral bonus with the applicant?

If there is a good/safe way to share referral bonus, I would be interested in getting a referral before I apply. Thanks.
