If you currently have any kind of Saphire personal card that is active, you will NOTqualify for bonus points, even if you are approved.
If you close your Saphire card recently, you will need to wait 48 months from the date you received the previous Saphire bonus before applying to get the new card's bonus points.
Be careful not to waste a hard credit pull Smilie

Chase T&C:
"The product is not available to either (i) current cardmembers of any Sapphire credit card, or (ii) previous cardmembers of any Sapphire credit card who received a new cardmember bonus within the last 48 months. If you are an existing Sapphire customer and would like this product, please call the number on the back of your card to see if you are eligible for a product change. You will not receive the new cardmember bonus if you change products."
95 af is not waived for first year basically previously it was 50k with 95 waived first year now it's 60k with 95 af so pretty much the same
Also I'll get csr rather than csp if you spend 3400+ in travel, dining etc
It is pretty straightforward. When you use your card for ANY travel purchase (like Airbnb, airfare, hotels, Lyft, Uber, parking, some tolls, and many others), you will automatically be reimbursed, until you've spent a total of $300 on travel. In other words, Chase will pay for the first $300 in travel you spend each year with your card.

Depends why you're getting it.

CSR is a better card if you travel often enough to get significant value from the added benefits.

CSP is a better card if you just want the signup bonus, don't travel much, and then plan to ditch the card.

It depends on how much you travel and airlines/hotels you use. I'm about to order the CSR. But I travel a lot. I use ride share a lot. I prefer Chases partners over Amex.

The CSR is a premium travel specific card. It's also harder to get (then the CSP). There are a handful of premium travel cards (the Amex Platinum is probably the most direct competitor). The Amex has better multipliers for spend, and the best lounge access. There are also some targeted offers for it that have 100,000 points for sign up. Which makes it tempting.

Also keep in mind the Chase 5/24 rule. So most people get Chase first.

Sorry if I missed this but is there a way around the 48-Month Rule, either through email referral or through local bank representative, or any other means? Thanks in advance.

That one is a targeted offer. If you were targeted, apply in the way that your email/physical offer tells you to. If you were not targeted, you won't get it.

Anyone been able to get some sort of retention offer this year? I got it past 2 years but looks like Chase won't budge on my CSP. Not sure I want to re-up another year.

Depends what you mean by "due to the corona virus"

They'd cover you if you were actually sick making you unable to travel.

They won't cover you if you cancel because you're afraid you might become sick later.

Nope no coverage for pandemic - I'm dealing with this exact problem right now with this exact card and got declined.
