If you currently have any kind of Saphire personal card that is active, you will NOTqualify for bonus points, even if you are approved.
If you close your Saphire card recently, you will need to wait 48 months from the date you received the previous Saphire bonus before applying to get the new card's bonus points.
Be careful not to waste a hard credit pull
Chase T&C:
"The product is not available to either (i) current cardmembers of any Sapphire credit card, or (ii) previous cardmembers of any Sapphire credit card who received a new cardmember bonus within the last 48 months. If you are an existing Sapphire customer and would like this product, please call the number on the back of your card to see if you are eligible for a product change. You will not receive the new cardmember bonus if you change products."
95 af is not waived for first year basically previously it was 50k with 95 waived first year now it's 60k with 95 af so pretty much the same
Also I'll get csr rather than csp if you spend 3400+ in travel, dining etc
It is pretty straightforward. When you use your card for ANY travel purchase (like Airbnb, airfare, hotels, Lyft, Uber, parking, some tolls, and many others), you will automatically be reimbursed, until you've spent a total of $300 on travel. In other words, Chase will pay for the first $300 in travel you spend each year with your card.

Not to hijack this thread, but wanted to see if I can get any help here. I have been and currently on the phone with Chase for 2 hours and 21 minutes already.
I already received my Chase Sapphire card and I can use it normally.
I am trying to create an online account so I can view and pay online, but it goes through a phone verification method, and it is already a preset number ending in 2270. I have no idea who's number that is, and I never inputted that.
I called customer service and if I give them my real cellphone number, they said that they cannot send a verification number to that number.
I got transferred to the security department (had to wait an hour), and they verified me, and passed me back to customer service (same department with the first person I spoke with), and again they tried to send me a verification code but only can send to that number that ends in 2270.
Disappointly, they only thing they can do is to pass me back to the security department again (which I am currently on hold), and I think I am going around in circles now.
I just want to enroll on an online account, any alternative method to accomplish this?
I've had massive issues with Chase lately. On hold multiple times just to have the call get dropped for no reason. I was locked out of an account, and cannot reactivate it since the local branch cannot do that.
Sorry, this doesn't help but their customer service is suffering while my other banks are just fine.
CSR fee $450 for renewals by 7/1, instead of the new $550 fee. $100 credit issued automatically.
"We recognize this is a difficult time for everyone. As a way to help, we're providing you a one-time $100 statement credit toward the 2020 $550 annual fee on your Reserve credit card. On an upcoming billing statement (based on your renewal date), you'll see a $550 charge for the annual fee, followed by a $100 statement credit. We will continue to bill the $550 annual fee in 2021.
Because this credit only applies to open Reserve accounts, if you've closed your Reserve account or traded to another credit card before your renewal, you will not receive the $100 statement credit. We know COVID-19 has affected people in many different ways. Please check chase.com/StayConnected for updates and helpful ways to stay connected to your accounts."
The point is neither CSR nor CSP is a good choice for you then. Why downgrade from one wrong card to another wrong card? That was Knightshade's point.
Exactly.
CSP is kind of a pointless card to have in general these days anyway too esp. if not travelling...they really need to learn from amex (or hell even Citi) here and offer some reason a person might want both cards instead of one simply being flat out better than the other for anybody that would really get value from either.... different bonus categories for example and/or different annual credits.
My AF for CSR doesn't come around till November, so I won't need to make any decisions about it for a while... but if it WERE coming nowish (especially since I already used this years travel and doordash credits) I'd downgrade to a FREE chase card.... and then probably product change a free card back to a CSR if/when I found I'd be travelling again and need it.
Newbie question, difference between preferred and reserved?
If you don't travel at all the CSP is worth getting for the signup for statement credit value, but not worth keeping year over year... (though read up on 5/24 and insure you get any chase BUSINESS cards first)
If you do travel much, the CSR is simply a better card to get (and potentially depending on your habits, keep)- higher rewards in the same bonus categories, higher value in the travel portal on points (though transfers often beat that), better and more benefits, couple of annual credits, and a net annual fee only slightly higher (how much higher depends how much/well you can use the extra benefits and credits)
You can only get one of them every 48 months now so both isn't an option.

Also, if I'm in market for 2 new CCs, do LG's for non chase cards Vince up on SDs, as well?

Who knows if payment toward a tuition fee would count?
Chase doesn't care what you spend your money on. Spend is spend.

Amex is offering a 3 month extension officially.
Chase it's supposedly a call-and-ask thing (or secure message and ask) on a case by case basis

Why would you?
If you travel much (times aside) the CSR is a better card across the board.
If you don't travel much the CSP isn't really worth having at all.
