If you close your Saphire card recently, you will need to wait 48 months from the date you received the previous Saphire bonus before applying to get the new card's bonus points.
Be careful not to waste a hard credit pull

"The product is not available to either (i) current cardmembers of any Sapphire credit card, or (ii) previous cardmembers of any Sapphire credit card who received a new cardmember bonus within the last 48 months. If you are an existing Sapphire customer and would like this product, please call the number on the back of your card to see if you are eligible for a product change. You will not receive the new cardmember bonus if you change products."
Also I'll get csr rather than csp if you spend 3400+ in travel, dining etc

Setting those aside consider with the following.
$300 travel credit applies to even things like tolls, subway tickets, parking, etc. It's so easy to use it effectively brings the annual fee to $250.
The $60 doordash credit is nice which I personally value at about $50
So that leaves the extra points earned and 25% increase at the web portal to make up roughly $200 (assuming you don't value the items i first mentioned).
But regardless, I view the CSR as a "premium travel card". I would get only if your a frequent traveler. But, I'm sure others have leveraged the benefits enough,
And FYI, I just booked a flight thru the Chase portal. I had the airline site up as well to compare pricing. Well the exact same flight was cheaper at the portal! And I used 50% less points.

to anyone: so close CSR, then apply couple of days later to be sure? It's been 48mo+ since CSR bonus.
P.s. Dont get me started on their bank service....just awful.

Didn't the CSR come out in August of 2016? Is it even possible for anyone to be 48 months past a CSR sign up bonus?

Chase Never again. They've become too big imho. Stick to Amex or any other brand. Chase is just horrible.
I'd rather get the no fee card with $500 bonus....is it available?
